OK...misleading topic name, sorry...what do you want from a dwarf with a penchant for asking WHY beer is so good (along with, WHERE is the good beer, and HOW can I get a good beer), rather than just accepting the goodness of beer as a fait accompli?
Actually, I just wanted to introduce myself to all of you. The Winds of Dawn came fairly well recommended to me as a clan, and I have definitely confirmed that recommendation to myself after meeting a couple of you. My sincere thanks go out especially to Aeric for putting up with the foolish antics of a newbie that he happened to raise in the fields, and then spent the time to escort on a brief hunt.
I do plan to come out for the vermine hunt in a few days, and I would like to stop by your coming clan meeting, if that would be acceptable to you....I am searching for a clan to join that is not only welcoming and helpful, but also shares my interests, and the Winds of Dawn have impressed me a great deal in both areas. To be perfectly forthright, I have spoken with the Dwarven Militia as well, but I see nothing wrong with meeting the members of several clans, and finding the one that is the best fit for all concerned....
At any rate, if you happen to see me wandering the lands (usually in the form of a battered and bloody body) give me a chance to say "Hi" and get to know you (yes, Virginia, it is hard for newbies to talk to more experienced and powerful exiles). Or send me an enchanted mail at crosscheck@powerlink.net
