Hello,

I just visited DT's scroll, which points to Sun Dragon's Scroll of Old ... (http://www.sundragonclan.com/guide/index.html#Fighters) (which I recall seen exactly as is some ooc years ago).

which says:

If you seek to become a fighter

Train at the Master Bodrus several times
Seek out Master Fistus: He in a farm house in the northern farm lands

I believe most exile read this scroll, as I have, before coming to the land.

Most scroll that talk about becoming a fighter mention to Ten Bodrus legend too.

This is probably the origin of the legend.

So maybe clan dedicated to helping new exile should clearly state in their scrolls that wanabe fighter
-Should train with skae or Troilus or whoever
-Shouldn

Well Archemar, I just think those exiles would pay more attention when they read these scrolls. The passage you quoted below doesn't mean at all that getting ranks with Bodrus is the only way to become a fighter. They merely mention one method to become a fighter.

Who's to say it's the only one? Maybe bumping your head at the backside of the fighterhall for 3 days would be another way to become a fighter - just no-one tried so far. Granted, studying some ranks with Master Bodrus sounds more likely to be a way to become a fighter, but you never know. :)

But Sargon, I thought bumping your head against the backside of the fighter hall for 3 days *was* a requirement for becoming a fighter.....

I mean, why else would anyone decide to be a fighter?

Sheesh Delirium, you managed to step on more feet with this post than I do with my posts on average! And that means a lot!

I wouldn't be surprised if all WoD fighters would decide to throw pies at you during the next zodiac! Maybe they will even start a "Let's pie Delirium year!" (I hope it will be open for non-WoDers as well :) Consider yourself warned! :) /thinkto Konoko Hope you got the hint! You have a new target I think! =)

You go ahead and get it started Sargon! :)

Deli's just a healer - she doesn't understand the fine art of being a fighter... :)

Her being a healer is probably why she's so bitter. She got turned down when she wanted to become a fighter...

:)

/action adds Delirium to the list, right after Althus. Konoko being 3rd.

(needless to say, this is a joke, ...)

Sargon says "hello Archemar, you have much to learn"
Sargon says "I can teach you to throw pies at various memeber of WOD"
Sargon says "Go away, practice exercice i told you"

Archemar ponder "Well, it seems I'm going to make new friends ..."

Hi everyone.

This is my first post to the WoD Forum (as you may have noticed).

First, I want to say that I've been reading the Forum for quite some time and enjoy it. I'm not one to do much posting, but I thought I'd put in a comment about what I know about Bodrus.

A *ahem* friend of mine came to the lands for a brief time to help me test the effectiveness of Bodrus compared to Evus.

What he did was study Bodrus exclusively and kept an eye on the fighter trainer messages as he progressed in ranks. What we determined was that Bodrus teaches everything Evus does, with the exception of Swengus. Bodrus only teaches 1/2 the amount that Evus does. So, if an exile plans to become a fighter, scoot him away from Bodrus and over to Skea or Troilus (or baking or brewing) as mentioned before instead.
