East Forest question

I have a question about something in east forest. If you don't know east forest then this might be a spoiler for you so you should not read further. If you know everything about east forest (or think you do) then maybe you can help me with this.

In new east forest there are small pools of water in the corner of some snells. It used to be I could enter one such pool and come out the other. I tried this just now and can't enter at all. I wonder if it was a pathfinder path and since it has been fixed (and I lost a pathfinder room) I just can't enter anymore, or if it has been modified somehow. Does anyone know what happened?

I went there and was able to do it when I had no PF. However, I had to try like 50 times. You need to hit just the right angle or something.
