Well, in discussions about the new members policy and the fact that we have too few clan events per week right now, I had a great idea!

Since we're here to help new exiles, let's have a 'New Exile help' Fest! All this week, and next week, and the one after that, ad infinitum!!!

We haven't done a whole lot towards our main clan goal. I know that we're still getting on our feet, but we can start running with things before we're fully up. Let's get some events going on.

I would like to recommend that we start a new exiles "fun stuff to do in Puddleby" session. Every week we should pick out something new that's fun to do in Puddleby that's suitable for new exiles and do our best to introduce new exiles to that stuff. It shouldn't all be just hunting- there are a lot of other interesting things to do that many new exiles might not be aware of, such as pushball. We should probably try to schedule one or two weekly meeting times to try to give a bunch of new exiles a chance to participate (and pay for a Koppi announcement so they know about it) and then also of course take new exiles around ad hoc as appropriate, since not all will be able to make it (although I think new exiles would generally have more fun as a group than alone).

I also think we should seriously consider setting up some new exile training sessions to teach useful concepts such as balance conservation, sharing and rescue strategies, etc. and answer questions. I remember that when I was first in Puddleby it took me a long time to learn a lot of these concepts that are so critical and it would help to perhaps have the option of a more structured class for those who are interested to participate in. We could even invite guest trainers from other clans (a job for our ambassador!) such as esteemed healers and fighters (and perhaps mystics, but I know they like to be kinda secretive). It might also be kind of nice to provide some training on the trainers, and what training options make sense depending on what your priorities are.

These all sound excellent! Who's office does this fall under? It sounds to me to be a combined effort touching about everyones scope of duties. I propose we have this as a topic within this weeks meeting agenda.

Our clan seems to be widening its goals as apposed to other clans. It seems to me to be akin to training. It is often better to be well rounded than too focused in one area. I havent much time to speak more here for now, but these topics will be running through my mind until Sunday. Til then, I will be seeking out newbies and spreading the good word1!

My thoughts regarding new exile training type stuff is that it should be to some degree coordinated by the clan Welcomer (Farhope), with coordination with other offices as appropriate (especially Hunt Leader and Ambassador). Everyone should be encouraged to participate and contribute ideas and training, but I think that since it's new exile focused stuff, the Welcomer should be the key coordinator if she's willing.

The treasurer of course would need to approve the cost of Koppi calls :)

And I will teach them the ancient art of donating their money to our coffers!

Yeah, please do check with me about Koppi announcements. It should almost always be fine, but I like to keep mental tabs on what's happening as well.

And why am I never repaying anyone 20c? Huh? I bet you're all trying to give it out of your own pockets! Well, you're not allowed to. Has to come out of clan money. You can give it right back, but it ought to be documented (and you get credit for donating more!). Yeah.

Personally, I prefer to donate short swords :)

I really like those ideas!

During the Feast of Tsrrin we could help the newbies by taking them on a trick and treat tour of the area. I realise half the fun is finding the treats on one's own so I think we could just get them started...
And I would like to say that thanks to Kiriel and a few other exiles, I was able to find all 12 candies after our clan meeting and hunt on sunday... :)

I don't how much longer this feast lasts. Is it over already now that halloween is over or does it still last a few more days. Still time to help a few newbies with sweet toothes?

I also like the idea of bringing in guest speakers/exiles to help in training sessions. Being clan ambassador I would definitely be able to help here!
/action flexes her clan ambassador muscles :)

I would like to get more of the interclan affairs stuff known and laid out for our clan before I go and spread the word about us...

Did anyone ever get that dagger I donated?
I can't remember who I gave it to (Aerick or Lai I think)...

Is some new exile enjoying the use of this dagger?

Trick or treating is over sadly :(

I meant to replenish a few candies I had eaten but I was too late.

I didnt recieve any daggers..It mustve gone to Aerick. As another idea of something for us to help Newbies with, we could provide them a healer escort with the offical town rat hunter (which earns you some coins, a rank, and a perty mounted rat, if ive heard right!)

I haven't gotten any daggers since that one, long ago, when I doubt I even had my white shirt.

Put this one up for Nunul to solve? ;)

Hmmmm...
My sources say that according to their information...the dagger in question was last seen in the vacinity of Puddleby Island.

Hope this helps!
