Want help Newbie's

I sorry if I step on toes, I new here, not sure how to do this.

I read in scrolls from long ago many ideas, good ideas, that never happen. No know why. I want help newbies, go on newbie hunts.

Someone suggest that use Koppi the announcer would be good idea. I think this good idea too. This what I would like eventually see.

Have Koppi always shouting name of scroll site for newbies. Perhaps www.clanlord.net/guide/index.html. That seem like good information for newbies. Then maybe get that site to list times for newbie hunts.

Twice a week have newbie hunts, two healers and fighter to go along would be nice, healers most important I think. Maybe could use this place (WoD scrolls) to sign up to be present at hunt? Maybe do this together with other clan like TAN that have similar goal? That way easier to make sure someone there to do hunt?

I see from past ideas, that it hard to get things started with many people to decide, so I going to do this to get ball rolling.

I going to have Koppi announce newbie hunt for this coming Sunday the 11th at 10:30am PST. That way hunt will be over before meeting. (wish I could use IC time, but I not know when anything is IC). Not sure when to ask Koppi to make announcement. How long he yell something? If no one tell me different, I tell him to start yelling Thursday.

I be there, would like other healer to be there too. Fighter would be nice, but no necessary. Possible route would be to go to east field, into hive, to north farm through hive. Then go to highlands, into hive there, and back to north farm through hive. Should not be too hard.

If anyone tell me this wrong, let me know please. Or have suggestions to make better, that be very nice.

By the way, the clan treasury is there for that too (I mean for Koppi).
About Koppi, I am not sure but I think he is yelling something for a zodiac, so for a hunt ooc sunday, the sooner the better.

I am sure to NOT be there at ooc 10h30 PST. At this time, I am usually dreaming in the library at 3 children. I dream that they go to bed, etc. :-)

The main problem for regular new exiles hunts is the schedule. I is difficult for me to be sure to be present at a precise schedule...

So if we can make a regular event (every zodiac for example), I think it is better. But I can not promise to be there every time.

The best thing to try, is to find a schedule good for a lot of us. So, we can hope that at every hunt we will be at least 2 or 3. Any proposition?

Splendid. You have my commendations. Any funding you need to cover Koppi costs or the like will be supplied by the clan treasury. I'll try to be at events as best I can.

As far as newbie hunts go...I'm all for them. The logistics of actually having the hunts has been the problem. I make it a point to aproach all newbies I see when I am clanning to hunt with the WoD and if they have time, I hunt with them right then and there. I would like to think that we could draw a group of newbies to a scheduled hunt at least once a week, but newbie clanning in my eyes has been too sporatic if not altogether becoming a rarity.

If I could make a recommendation...
It has been eating away at my dorven psyche. As a midrange fighter, I am torn between setting up hunts for lower level exiles and setting up hunts for higher levels (where they would not slaughter all the critters).

We may want to re-think the role of Hunt Coordinator. Perhaps splitting the role into 2 or 3 positions.

You want that "The newbie hunts are better planned by the welcomer and new exile positions". Oh oh! I would prefer not! I am very bad to organize things! Please! Someone else! :-)

Ok, serious. If you don't want to organize "newbie hunts", ok don't do that but I would prefer (and you all would prefer :-) that I don't have to do that. Who then?

Heyboy has quite clearly shown his desire to be the newbie hunt go-to guy. I have no qualms about him asuming such a poosition. In fact I think he is an ideal candidate. I will only say this, that this should be an official WoD position.

I thank all for the support of effort to help new exiles. I talk to people and think. I smile at me when I think me in charge of something. I think maybe it can be self run. Here are some ideas.

Lady Kiriel, my ideas may mean work for you, you say if can do. I like a scroll site that newbies can come too. It have following:

1 - list of scheduled newbie hunts
2 - place for newbies to ask questions
3 - links to other good sites for newbies

Then we pay koppi to alway yell address of scroll. How that sound?

Lady Kiriel has already made one change that help. She allow me, and all of us to make entry on event schedule. My idea is that if you are thinking to yourself one day. "Oh, I think I will be sitting here tomorrow or the next day and would like to take a newbie or two or more and show them around." Then you go to event schedule and enter a newbie hunt. How that sound? Others may see when you schedule and be there too. If all clan people have newbie hunt every week or two, we have lots of them. Also have newbie hunts all different days and times, no set schedule. That way we get newbies that also have schedule problems.

Maybe in clan message area, a subject of newbie hunts. People can say, hey I be there tomorrow for hunt or whatever.

I meet in Sunday hunt at north towers. I now not sure that good place. Maybe future meetings for newbie hunts can be fairgrounds. Give hint where they are on scroll page? Then at start of hunt, can be ooc with people, explaining sharing and toggle and stuff, and show them place for them to talk to npc if they no do that already. Then go on hunt.

Sometimes more advanced people may come. That ok, if no real new people, just go to different place, and no need talk much before hunt.

How all this sound? I sure you in clan can make this better.
