Sorry for not posting in the forums but it still hasn't quite sunk in yet and after updating my new journal, I had forgotten entirely. I'm so sorry for that and will write here what I intended to write then.
***********
In a shocking turn of events, I have been promoted and in a bit more than 4 Puddleyears. I thought that I was going to receive another task but instead got promoted. [:D] I'm so happy at my new status and will be working hard to be a great mystic to help my fellow exiles.
In light of the actions of others who have been promoted, I do solemly swear the following.
1) I will not disappear for months at a time.
2) I will not leave Winds of Dawn.
3) I will not forget how to boost.
4) I will still leave town.
Thanks for the kind words. I'm still excited about it even a few days after it happened. [:D]

Great job Himitsu!
So know you can start learning how to do locates? Or am I mistaken? Is this something you plan on learning?
Congrats!

Thank you! [:)]
I can learn locating as Journeyman Mystic have access to that trainer for the first time, which is why you never seen Apprentice Mystic locate anyone. [;)]
However, I don't plan on learning how to locate, at least for the time being. I don't want to stay in town like Groan, Ghoti, Valtrim, and Rincewind and wait for people to fall so I can locate them. I want to go out and explore and see new things and go on hunts. So I'll be concentrating on two other skills (Mind Casting and Divination) as well as staying upright longer and finishing the 70 pathfinding ranks to bring me to full. If I can get away with just investing 100 ranks in locating I'll consider but not for a long time. Plus, I want to learn some other languages too and that's more interesting to me than locating.
I don't want to learn a skill half-way. It's far worse to be only mediocre in locating and fail to help someone than in not being able to locate at all. I'd rather get really good in two skills than sort-of good in two skills and mediocre in a third. Besides, there are plenty of mystics who are great at locating and few who are great in what I want to be great in so I don't think Puddleby will be missing anything if I don't learn how to locate.
However, it sure is tempting...
Big congrats Himitsu!!
May you always stay dry!! 8)

Congrats Himistu. I have just posted due to my leaving the boards for a while on 3 advancements and now that I look at it they were a fighter, a healer, and a mystic. Once more congratulations Himistu.[:)]
