Well, as some of you know, I've been considering a couple clans lately and have decided that WoD seems to be the best path for me to take.
1) Why do I want to join the Winds of Dawn?
Well, basicly I am looking forward to a more structured, family-like atmosphere, which I've seen among the WoD. By no fault of your own, when I was exiled there weren't very many people in town, and even less helpful ones. I was left to go out and do things by myself. Though I did manage and quickly adapted to Puddleby, it would have been nice to have some help. Since I can be out of the library as much as possible, I can make sure that at least I am there to help out a new exile when the more helpful ciizens of Puddleby are busy with their studies.
2) In what ways do you enjoy helping newbies?
Since I spend most my time in town, I have found many times where I have given a new exile a tour of the town, given them advice on the professions, given away a few copper pennies, and even taken them on a hunt of the myrm hive or on kitty beach. I view money as a game, I often see how much I can get in a period of time. Since I feel that there is nothing at this time that I need to own that I dont already have, I tend to give these coins to the librarians, new exiles, or mystics.
3) What do you enjoy doing when you are out of the library?
As I said, I like to coin hunt. I try to see how much coins I can manage to get in a set time period when I am bored. I enjoy sitting in town very much. I read very few scrolls that contain news, because they often are biased. When in town I can hear more than one side at a time. I am also there to help anyone that might need it. Though I consider myself to be a weak fighter at the moment, I often run to a place where a fellow exile has fallen, so that I might help clear a few of the critters away.
4) What do you not enjoy doing?
This may sound weird coming from a fighter, but I tend to not enjoy hunting at the moment. On bigger hunts I often feel that I am the weakest one there and that by falling I slow down a group and become a liability. Though as I gain strength this becomes less and less. I also dont enjoy solo hunting which might seem even funnier considering my first dislike. Its so boring, your options are limited and it's more fun to be able to interact with some others.
I hope this all makes sence, since I tend to ramble on and on as I am doing now. I am sure you have a few more membership applications to go over before mine, but I am full of patience. I look forward to hearing from you and answering any further questions you may or may not have [:D]

Thanks for your application!!
I know I have enjoyed hunting and being with you. I have seen you many times helping others that have fallen and sometimes looked a little fallen yourself. :-)
I am only one voice but I welcome you!
\ponder the weakest member of a hunt,....hummm I know how that feels...[:)]

There is one issue I have to be blunt and ask about. A while back in May you posted on the newsgroup that you had asked the darshak about joining. I've dug it up on google and the message can be found on google. http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&selm=a2e7e895.0205061144.6ac001b9%40posting.google.com
I post this here because I want to give you a chance to defend yourself but right now I have to say I have doubts. But If your changed your views I will not judge you on it anymore. Sorry for being wso blunt but it had to be brought up.

Liolel, I'm not exactly sure what it is you are asking, but I guess your simply asking my stand point. Correct me if I'm wrong.
I still stand with the Theocracy, I'm the regional recruitment agent, basicly meaning I recruit on puddleby, and I'm head of special projects, meaning I'm the Theocracy's errand boy.
But this has nothing to do with the clan. You have Nox Sorora members in your clan, I'm sure they keep their business seperate with clan affairs. I can do the same. And I currently have no problems with the Nox Sorora, other than Indigo, Luna and their friend Nuvali who have a bounty on my head, but it's easy to avoid them.
I have never harmed an exile, save the one time I was showed to the badlands by Kiriel, nor do I plan to. Though our friendship has thinned, I still consider Phiros, who is both a member of WoD and a Gens Dea, a friend.
I am almost sure that I just brought up even more questions, so I look forward to hearing and answering them.

I'm sorry I guess I went a little overboard. The darshak just concearn me more because they are a proven enemy but your right winds of dawn does let people with such things join as long as they keep it seperate from the clan. I'll try to keep a open mind though. What does seem clear now is that your not on the same type of darshak who attacks and puddleby and trys to kill every last one of us. I'll see if any other clan members have questions for you before I decide my views now. And you are correct in me wanting to know your standpoint.

Aerizith,
I am one of the members of WoD who is in Nox Sorora. I was not aware their was a price on your head. However, I am Vesper Via to Luna and Nuvali is a former member of this clan and a Friend of Dawn. Both have participated in clan hunts in the past, and both are exiles I would not hesitate to invite if we needed help in a future clan hunt. What do you think would happen if they showed up for a clan hunt and you were there?

Well, it seems that the most obvoius choice I have is to put risk to myself and leave, in order to avoid conflict.

Are you withdrawing your application?
Or was that the answer to Delirium's question?
If you are not withdrawing, I have a few things to add.
On Aravir's journal, he had to ban you, because OOC: You repeatedly hacked his journal and deleted/added things to it. How do we know this behavior was only directed towards him?End OOC
The connection with the Darshak worries me. I have seen you during invasions, telling us to submit to the Darshak. I do not think it would be wise to have people in our clan doing that. First of all, it brings conflict to our name because even if you DON'T want to put WoD with your darshak connections, it WILL happen. When you do things like that, people see your badge and wonder why we would allow this to happen, which provides room for conflict.
Also, Diuturnity, a clan member, and his sweet wife were recently murdered by Darshak. You can read about it on Thoomcare.com. That connection bewilders me! You are a part of the people that would kill a clan member??!
I do not like that at all.

If Diuturnity and his wife don't want to depart, that is HARDLY Aerizith's fault.

OOC, it was only my posts that were changed, nothing else. I also had nothing to do with this and I was banned for using posting in OOC, asking what happened to my posts, and that ban was only temporary, I once again have the ability to post I just choose not to. \END OOC
And that was an answer to Delirium. Though I have yelled 'Join the Theocracy!' and 'Dar'shak Rule!' I have never told anyone to submit to the Darshak, but I'm sure it wasnt quotes you were refering to, but the subject itself. I am a recruitment officer, and though I yell 'Join the Theocracy!', I would never force any of Puddleby's citizens to join, and the Theocracy doesn't expect me to. I do not force nor do I plan to. I do not hurt and kill exiles nor do I plan to. I dont see dominance, I seek an equal peace. The Theocracy is a strange govenmental system with many branches, mine of which, has nothing to do with those who invade.
OOC Aerizith has only done this once, and once bought a koppi add to yell 'Dar'shak Rule!'. Aerizith is still working with the Theocracy, but has missed almost every Dar'shak invasion in the last 2 months. This storyline is also very thin, with almost no advancement, thus unlike those involved in the brion storyline that are very active, Aerizith doesnt have much involvement. Every named Dar'shak character is dead, where as all six brion brothers are alive. IC Aerizith is involved, OOC he has almost no involvement. \END OOC
I did hear about Diuturnity and his wife, and am very sorry for both of them, but how am I to beleive it was Dar'shak that sank them? If it was how am I to know that they served the Theocracy(Yes their are rogue Dar'shak, that dont serve the Theocracy)? And if I am to be persecuted through my connection, consider that Indigo, Delirium and Aneaka's high Priestess, has placed a bounty on my head. I dont judge them and WoD through their connection. You were not the ones to put a price on my death, nor were they. Only the people who put up the bounty are responcible. I didnt harm one of your clan members and I shouldnt be held responcible either.

I don't think anybody has a bounty on your head, you must be over reacting. And anyway, Deli just said she's under Luna. So how Indigo could be her Priestess as well as Luna is beyond me.

I've been keeping quiet up until now as Winds of Dawn membership isn't really any of my business. However, in this case I must speak up on an OOC subject.
Aerizith was banned for bad OOC behavior. The ban was not temporary, it remains in effect. While I can't stop him from creating a new account on the site, I have taken steps to make it as difficult for him as I can without interfering with anyone else.

Aravir - Your web space provider has a few problems then, cuase I was sure it was an email block and Im still registered with that same email.
Mehan - Indigo is the Nox Sorora High Prestess They're all under her if I'm correct.

Actually, I thought the Matre was the high Priestess. And Indigo isn't the Matre.
But asking Deli would be better, I try to avoid NS members.

First of all, I'm going to clarify a few things:
#1 - Delirium is under Sister Luna, meaning that she is still training for the status of a Priestess.
#2 - I serve under no one except for the Matre (Naamah), so I don't know how you got confused with Indigo being the ruler of us all. She's merely a more active member of our organization.
#3 - As far as I know, I've really heard of no bounty on your head as if right now. But of course I could have missed it. However I don't believe that my involvement in my sisterhood has brought about any "horrible reputation" to my clan (although I could be wrong, this is just my take).
Just a few clarifiers.. I'm not going to ask any questions yet until I hear more on both sides, especially about this thing on Aravir's scrolls.

Aerizith is of course refering to the four different accounts he created one after the other, using different email addresses, each time I disabled one. After four I just blocked the entire range of IP addresses he'd been using.

Aravir - get that checked out then. I only have one email and used the same one each time. You just made it so I had to reregister each time. As for my IP, I only have one computer and access to one computer so if any IP address is blocked, it aint mine.

Makie appeared in town early this morning looking very pink. She certainly stands out!
I beleive this is the current article of news you have on your site.
Aneaka, sorry about the misinformation. I think it was Solas who told me Indigo was your Matre, but that was so long ago I might be mistaken as to who it was.
As for the bounty, speak with Ayella. I beleive it is she who Nuvali tried to get to kill me, though she wouldnt.

Having been told about this thread by Sister Anaeka, I suppose I should post about whatever it is Aerizith thinks happened.
Nuvali did indeed summon me to the badlands, but not to kill you, or you would be dead. Madcat had placed.. as you say... a bounty upon your head, and I was there to protect you.
Before you go spreading rumors about those who help you, get your facts straight, Darshak.

OOC:
I tried very hard to avoid responding to this thread. I figured Aerizith wasn't worth the time or energy, but I have to--if for only the sake of WoD and all of the great people involved. To clarify, Nuvali *did* hire a bounty hunter to take out Aerizith, but it was not Ayella. All just roleplaying stuff, and really not important in the context of what this discussion has become.
It was refreshing to see a character like Aerizith. It takes guts to play a darshak sympathizer in a game like CL, and so I wanted to oblige the fun. But after I learned about what PWC Aerizith was doing on Aravir's site, Nuvali nullified the contract with the bounty hunter. The character Aerizith wasn't worth the extraordinary IC pricetag any more, in my opinion.
Obviously, PWC Aerizith didn't do anything very malicious in this case, but I definitely think PWC refused to respect some very basic guidelines that were layed out, and succumbed to a state of vengeful obsession matched only by his/her prepubescent maturity factor.
I could almost understand if what PWC Aerizith did was meant to enhance his character in some manner, but (and correct me if I'm wrong Aravir) the reason why Aerizith was banned was precisely because of the very OOC nature of one of his posts. (How ironic that we slouch to the same posture, now.)
Maybe I'm being too harsh, but I have a feeling that any relationship garnered between WoD and Aerizith would probably not be a very healthy one--both IC and OOC.

Actually it wasn't because of OOC posts, although they played a part. He had deleted all the posts he'd made on the site, so I temporarily banned his account while I worked on disabling the "delete" button for non-administrators. However, he created another account with a different address and posted about how surprised he was my messages were deleted (and implying I'd deleted him) and how there must be a problem with my service because he couldn't log in.
At the time I read that post I had the server log open in BBEdit showing him deleting his posts, so I wasn't amused. I had been attempting to communicate with him OOC via email to resolve the subject of his OOC posts, but he was ignoring my attempts--no audience to play to with email, I guess. Now, it's one thing if a character lies IC about some IC matter, but I wasn't interested in putting up with someone lying to me OOC as well. His pattern of behavior up to that point was such that I banned him.
For the sake of completeness, I should mention that something else happened OOC that would also have been sufficient cause for banning. It would be inappropriate to discuss the matter here, but if any WoD members really, really want to know you can feel free to contact me privately.
