Status of Potentials

Right, well, I've gone and lost track again. Who all are we considering for membership? Who of them are asking to join, who have we talked to, and what stage of the process are they in? I know much of this ignorance stems from me missing the last meeting, but I was hoping someone could set me straight on this. Thanks a bunch

Chris Rex will not be joining it seems. He's thinking of creating a clan for people who don't want to spend a lot of time on clan stuff.

Allo All,
I am GREATLY flattered at the interest afforded to me by your clan and all its wonderful members. Alas, I am afraid that I would not feel comfortable petitioning for membership at this time. I could not guarantee a specific day or time that I would be available for meetings and whatnot, and that is COMPLETELY unfair to the current members of your clan. I would rather not be considered for membership than to join and find that i cannot live up to the high standard I believe that you deserve. Keeping this in mind, I WOULD like to continue to work closely with your clan and I GREATLY appreciate the help with you've given to my 'Arms for Exiles' program. I hope we can continue to have a fruitful partnership in general and in helping out the less fortunate/newer exiles. I may be creating a clan in the next few weeks, but it is simple a 'no maintenance/name only' kinda clan, just for experience's sake. I don't want you to think that I'm 'blowing your clan off' for another, so I wanted to explain that :-). Please feel free to email me at any time with any questions/comment/requests and I will be MORE than glad to help out when i am available.

The people whom have expressed an interest that I can recall at this time are: Althus, Maxmillian, and Thornin.
Althus' status is that he reads our boards ad posts often - worth 1 membership point. He also may have attended "X" amount of clan events I do not know of, worth "X" amount of points. Then there is, of course, the fact that he was a Silver Drake, which in my personal opinion is defintely worth something (ill say another point, unless I hear a better idea). I suspect because of that, hes pretty much got more then enough of us to sponsor him too.
Thornin was a Drake (worth again, a point, at this time, and hes attended a meeting. (worth another point). I told him I would send some time with him when i saw him next, but that was 3 weeks or so ago, and i have not seen him about since then.
As for Maximillian, I am not sure if hes been to any of our events - If anyone knows of any, please mention so. I see him on often, but do not run into him.

I have this really icky feeling that there is someeone I am not thinking of, or even multiple someones. I do know that Sargon had mentioned someone whose name I cannot think of (i think it started with an "f") that may have been interested. If anyone can think of anyone else, please let us all know!

How many points are needed to join again? I think by that system I have 4 right now. Looked around the website for some info on the process, but couldn't find any. Maybe I'm just blind.

I have a strange feeling towards these "points". I'm aware that the idea is that the clan gets a chance to get to know the potential member. But in Althus' case this looks a bit strange. I mean we all know him by now! :) It's kinda silly that he has to wait for the next clan meeting or hunt in order to collect the required points.

I don't really know a better solution. I know that less strict rules open room for favouritism and thelike. *shrugs* :)

And if/when Althus is a clan member I propose him as first assistant of the clan clown. (and the official costume shall be a penguin =P *tickles Corwin*)

I suspect you have 4 or more as well, but i dont know how many can events youve been to, Althus. Meetings, clan hunts, newbiw hunts, and dun'ilsars are the 4 basics...if you went to the fire island exploration, thatd defintely count for one too.
