I was the only WoDer out and about and only Garrick, Mahar, and Zorglub came to the hunt.

We went to the Highlands Myrm hive after a brief bit of instruction to Garrick about how healers have a high slaughter rate and will eventually get most of the experience from shares and the library. Mahar is a returning exile who's been gone since the Ripture War.

It was going well until we went to the egg room and both Garrick and Mahar fell. Magnic was on the way but didn't even know about the hive. I asked Geotzou for help who didn't know either so I left and showed him the way. Geotzou chained them to town which ended the hunt.

Maybe today was just a bad day but I'm beginning to think Thursday evenings aren't good overall.

Sorry I wasn't there, my clicker was not feeling well.

I was always skeptical that trying to revive the clan would succeed, although I had hoped I was wrong. I'm willing to keep trying. But I think the most telling sign is that Delirium was the driving force behind making this effort, and yet RL keeps even her from participating more than occasionally.

Without enough clan members to guarantee a presence even when some have RL obstacles, it just can't get going.

I think the only chance for the clan to continue now (and even this is, unfortunately, a slim chance) is to have a recruitment drive to build up a "new" Winds of Dawn with members who still actively play.

I agree with you on the number of active clan members being important as well as having a leader we can rally around.

Neko no Kessha is a good example of this. They have members who are out of the library, have clan colors, like being around each other, are inducting new members, and are active. It's not to say we should have a required uniform but at least they are visible and they do things.

It's why I suggested earlier that we expand our mission statement from newbies to midlevel exiles as well since there are so few newbies. I thought that having a broader purpose would encourage more clan members to leave the library and doing more in Puddleby. I don't know if this would work as I rarely see anyone from the clan (aside from SongWren) so it may be a moot point.

Unless we get enough members to have a bigger presence (daily newbie hunts perhaps?) and perhaps a new leader (I'm not trying to push Kiriel away but I don't think she's active anymore) there won't be much point to continuing to try and revive the clan.

It pains me to say this but when we have so few active members and even fewer who are trying to do something it makes it difficult to get anything done. It even makes one wonder if you should be trying in the first place. [:(]

P.S. I hope you feel better Therian.
