rock stuff?

Hi

What's that various rock stuff you sometimes see in the auction house or lying around?
There's powdery white rock and other stuff like that. What's it used for? Does someone buy it?

Lets just say that I wouldn't trade my herpitad egg for one.
There ARE however, exiles who aren't aware (such as dusty old Konoko <G>) that they "used" to be able to be mixed by a certain rouge darshak chemist to create...incendiary devices. These exiles may feel the need to weigh down their packs with these rocks 8)

The chemist seems to have been killed off...exiles may be led to assume that it was a once-needed device to help out a RP plot. The only (known) device that was created and usable was used to blow up the unfinished Nox Sorora house. Seemingly, the rocks are now just rocks.

(I'm pretty sure OWE had a device made, but couldn't find anything OOC that was "explodable")

Yer must be in da wrong aisle in da library if ye dinna see da section on rocks. Look in da 8th aisle... not da 4th! E'vry dorf knowin dat section... just look fer us... although watch out fer passed out dorfs here 'n thar... hic. thar da secton on beer next to it.

Actually Mr. Altir, I was looking in the 6th aisle of the library trying to find an answer for Konoko when I almost tripped over a prone dwarf. Seems you were too drunk to count right!!

While this has been discussed elsewhere, as one of the few who was there when the devices were made, I thought I'd just set the record straight on some *possible* errors in Nunul's post.

(1) at least two devices were made.

(2) Of the two I know about: The unused device was in the hands of Hunter. The device that was used was set off by a member of OWE under demonic possession.

It's possible that additional unused devices were made, but I've seen no evidence of them. I'm pretty sure that *both* of the devices that were made could have been used to blow up the Nox Sorora house and thus were both "useable." I've heard that some magic keeps the devices from being used on other buildings in town.

While on the subject,
Im still on the lookout for a " crumbly black rock " and a " brittle grey rock " to complete a set. Im well aware that there isnt anything that can be done with them currently, but perhaps one day......

I have a complete set in storage but it's a year overdue and I don't want to pay the money to pull them out. I've given up on finding something to do with them and it isn't worth the money to keep on storing them. if you want them, you'll have to pay me the storage fees or buy them from Norm as he has 4 complete sets.

Himitsu, I don't think you have to pay to have back your items from the storage, but you have to pay to keep them there.

I seem to remember hearing that the second device was placed in a hole in the blocked passage in the foothills but could nobody could find a way to light the fuse or retrieve the device as it was wedged in the crack.

anybody know if this is true or not?

If you really dont want them Himi , id love the grey and black ones, and will certainly pay for the storage feess to get them out....

Ok, give me a holler and we can figure something out. It might be 200c since I think I'm a year behind payment and it costs 50c a season for the five rocks. Maybe I'll be able to get out each rock after paying for one season so it'll cost less.

I've '/bug' ed this, but I don't think it's changed -

the rates the storage dwarves tell you are not accurate - when you pay for multiple items several seasons in advance, it can be *MUCH* less expensive than they claim.
