I'm sure at least some of you are familiar with that recurringly obnoxious "All Your Base Are Belong To Us" thing. I'm wondering if any clanmates would be intimately associated with the ... thing, to either know of or know how to rip the music part, after the intro. I need it for a prank, and was hoping someone like Althus would know a thing or two on the topic.

What you say?
haha! :)
But seriously, as for taking the sound bit out, have you tried extracting the audio track with quicktime player pro? I know it's a shockwave flash movie but perhaps it will work with QuickTime since QT now plays flash movies.
I don't have my mac with the file here but I can try later at home...

Yeah - I'm at work on a windoze box. I do most of the forum stuff then. I do have my trusty PB with me so I can clan at lunch (but I haven't been doing that too often). It's not exactly the fastest web browsing Mac so I just put up with windoze. Blechh!

Anyone know what the name of the game it comes from is?

the game is called zero wing. I have it, and it is pretty bad. there is actually more to the intro then in the music video, which explains the "blue zig" part of the song. The music is actually a redone version of the music from the first level of the game.

About 10 minutes from when I post this, try:
http://www.no-op.com/wod/zwing.sit
The files aren't that well compressed (I did it by hand <g>), but they're complete. zerowing2.aif is the soundtrack from the shockwave and zerowing.aif is a dubbed version of the original intro. Pretty funny. I hope you have a fast connection ;D

(p.s: Due to some funky Voodoo I had to perform on the shockwave to get the soundtrack out (no direct export, had to use snapz), it's a teensy bit quiet. I assume you have louder speakers than my near-silent ones, though)
