I think it's a silly useless thing but evidentally someone thought it important enough to put in. I just don't understand why.

I believe there was actually quite a demand for the ability to retake tests on the Newsgroup. And just FYI, mystics can also retake their tests by visiting Untrainus :)

Because it fucking rules? I love being able to go back and retake any test I want. God, 5th is such a joke for me. But it was nice to see that 6th was still somewhat of a challange. And my healer crushed 4th (was white when she passed).

That kind of shit is fun. You can do things like see if you can pass with everything in the 5th circle test on you at once, or see if you can TTT the sas. Whatever. Even just see if you got lucky the first time.

Retaking tests is awsome. And one of the coolest additions to the game in a while. Its nice to see things that everyone can use, and not things like more fucking god damn rat towers and lame shit "newbie only" hunting grounds for non-existant newbies (for fucks sake how hard is it to find a damn rat or vermine??).

Out of curiosity, when you retake a test does Honor re-annouce your passing? It would probably be at least worth the chuckle to hear an announcement go out that Michael had just passed the 2nd circle test. [;)]

Hmm.. what when you fail the retaken test?
No consequences? Or you really lose circle status
and have to wait another zordiac?

Or is really only for fun?

Hor

No consequences; no announcements. If you fail (which I haven't yet on any of my characters), you either just talk to the NPC again or just take the test again. Talking to the NPC will auto-restore your circle status, either way.

You don't get any exp or coins for it, but it's still one of the coolest changes in a long time.

No exp? Aww. Still pretty cool though.

By the way, if you DO fail a test, I know you can just go talk to Repetta and reinstate yourself, but if you don't want to do you have to wait a week to test again?

Also, if I dropped down a circle would I stop training Rodnus? I know I could start again right away but that might mean another HH trip.

At the request of people, I went into the fourth circle test, sat down in a corner, and proceeded to die. Yes. Go me! Anyway, if you fail, you can test right away again, no week, no wait, and when in doubt, go back to the resetta girl and she'll reinstate you as fourth circle, or eighth or whatever.

You don't actually DROP a circle. I really don't think it has anything to do with your circle status. I think it just allows you to take the tests again. I'll go demote myself and see if I can purg pendant.

You can retake tests at any time, even when you're still waiting to take your real test, so I'd assume you don't have to wait a week.

As far as training goes, my fighter was still able to train his Gossamer, so I'm not sure about that. An easy way to test would be to have someone train with Crunch (Knox) and then drop down to 2nd circle and check again.

Well, when I put myself to third circle, I couldn't use my pendant anymore. Hm. *shrugs*

But when I went down to 1st circle, I was still training Horus, so it seems that that works just fine.

On a side note, it's a lot of fun to pass the test before any of the critters can even move over to hit you from the spawn points.

This new thingy is just to let you re-take tests you have already passed, correct? You can't try tests you haven't passed yet, right?

Correct.

I like this feature. It is nice to see that I'm improving by taking the earlier circle test again. :)

I wish they move the one in Fighter Hall, because it is a bit too close to another NPC for my liking.

Now what we need is an open house day, when exiles can go take tests of other professions. Just for fun, Id love to see a visionstone of Healers and Mystics taking fighter tests.

Exactly what I thought too Sunblaze

(yes I was out of the library - for almost an hour!)
I plan to make the meeting tomorrow too...

What's the scroll that lists names and such for in the second circle room? Are we to think that's what the trainers use to list/store progress of the fighters being trained?

I'm guessing the GM's added this list for IC reasons. It did appear along with the Repetta feature. Maybe it is ICly keeping track of people using Repetta.

Yes, Repetta used to stand next to that scroll. She moved out to the main room, but hasn't had a chance to ask someone to carry her table out yet.

*Sunblaze eeps and hides his large red dragon body under a bed which just can't hide him. It just lays on his back as he covers his eyes with his paws.*

Even Ann is a GM or not. GM's still scare me.

I went down to 3rd and still had my black belt on. I tested 4th again and failed - still had the belt on. Tested 4th again about 4 more times, failed them all, and on like the 2nd or 3rd time when I fell my belt unequipped. Then I wasn't allowed to put it back on until I spoke with Repetta again.
