Any 4th circle healers out there like to let people know how many ranks they had on each trainer when they passed the test.

75 Higgrus, 500 Spirtus, 200 Respia, 200 Faustus, but I'm sort of an oddball :)

The standard requirement is 150 higgrus, 150 faustus, 200 respia, and some skill.

Hee! Now there's a request I'll just have to respond to.

I had 332 Respia, 65 Sespus, 146 Higgrus, 160 Spirtus, max body, 9 Awaria, 28 Faustus (not to mention 20 skea, 30 Sylpha, 98 Pathfinding, 30 Loovma, 8 Eva, 3 Proxi and 1029 Horus) [:D]

It really varies. For example, I probably shouldn't have been able to outright pass the 4c test. However, I did it because I managed to trap all but one of the critters for the majority of the test. However, I think Hidden's numbers are pretty accurate.

I had 150 higgy, 100 or so faustus, 350 respia, 30 awaria, 20 bodrus, 100 spiritus, max sylpha, 120 proxi, 200 Eva, 20 loovma, zo and sylvan... <g> The usual!

I'm curious about this 98 PF. Why 98 and not 100 when the extra 2 ranks makes PF so much more powerful and useful?

Well back in the days when I didn't count quite as well....I only counted 98, but it could have been 100. I maxed it anyway. So maybe I have a few more ranks than I counted, but I put down what I counted for sure. I only counted 94 body too, but I imagine it was higher. Course now that the number of ranks comes a lot slower, it isn't hard to count [;)]

How do you know 100 PF is so much more useful than 98? :)

And from what I hear, 110 pf really isn't much of an improvement over 100.

I was under the impression that certain paths, such as McBolie's and Wisher's Gate, could only be opened with 100 trainings with the Marsh Hermit and even then you often have to stare and go back and forth through them several times in order to learn them. If you had 98 trainings instead of 100, there was no chance of learning them. Was I wrong?

Looks like this thread is going off topic on me.

Second Circle Test - I passed with about 50 for all the first circle trainers.
Third Circle Test - I passed with about 100 for all the first circle trainers.

Hidden's ranks seem about right by how I've been passing test. [:)]

I wonder what is the fastest way to pass 4th circle test.

Yes.

The thing is, with 100 PF they are still very hard, so if you had 99 PF and could not open, this isn't proof that you need 100 since some with 100 can't ever open. There seems to be a minimum to learn it at all, and with more it becomes a little easier, and eventually so easy you get it on the first try.

For hard paths, how would anyone know what that minimum is? There is no one I've ever heard of getting 90 PF, going back to WG over and over, and not just training to 100 to get better at it.

Also, it's hard to stop training at 98 even if you count very well (if you freeze and get a rank message, and miss those packets, you will never know you ranked and have no record of it in your text log). So how many people train 98 and set up a big enough exile base to substantiate needing 100 PF?

Probably Eva, with extra attention Faustus and Higgrus. But healers who rush for 4th circle aren't always very good outside the healer temple.

I figure you can just go to the Marsh Hermit and if he says "you are one of my better students" then you keep on training until he says he can't teach you anymore. When he says that you can be assured you have trained 100 times because nothing else trains in the Marsh Hermit as a bonus.

Lessee ... first ya git Faustus/Sespus/Respia/Higgy to "better pupil" ... den Bodrus 'til 'e won't train ya anymore ... den a bunch more Respia ... den some Skea 'cuz some daft Zo convinces ya a healer needs it t'be really useful anna l'il bit of PF an' learn t'speak yer own language ... den s'more Respia an' some Horus an' some Loovma an' Sylpha t'go 'long wit it, an' learn t'speak a nudder language 'cuz someone ya rescue a lot can't speak common, or onna yer friends gits cursed ... den some Spirtus anna bunch more Horus an' some Proxi anna 'nudder language 'cuz yer marryin' onna dem ... den compare trainers inna healer hall wit some rully big healers an' onna 'em'll tell ya ya needs a plan ...

Oh! Ya want folx what're already fourt circle? Dat's a whole nudder story!

Well, I 'spect I'll still have all dis trainin' when I git dere, so here's my plan fer passin' fourt (not modified, but gonner take slightly longer, doin' it Delirium's way):

I trained a rotation of PF, Horus (x2), Proxi, Respia (x2), an' Spirtus, 'til Mon General got bossy an' I took a break t'finish up wit Hermit-Honey. Den I went back to da rotation, butcept I got stuck on Horus fer a while ... den I learned how t'hum in Toom ... den I got into Respia fer a while ... I'm still dere, but tinkin' of movin' on to some Proxi or mebber Rumblin' soon. Dey tells me balance is key, so I's tryin' not t'git stuck inna rut fer too long, ya see ... dough I's havin' some trouble stickin' to da "no more'n one zodiac of any one ting" part.
