I passed 3rd circle. I passed. After only 14 failed tests only two of which I had gotten the rage to red I passed. I was low yellow by the end but I passed. I killed the zerk lv and dv while at white and relizing that I always ran out of time when trying I took a stratgey of letting the rage swing once swinging twice then running. Did I mention I passed.
Ps: visionstone coming when I can get the uploads to work its seems to be a little buggy.
Pss: I had that thread title in my mind for around 3 months.
Edited aditional information now that adrenline has passed. I had also tried fighting a rage in the colisuim the ic day before. I fell after only getting it to green. Tougher rage and less space ment trouble. Also this must have been good karma. I helped a very new exile out and took her on a short hunt to the myrm hive. I guess following the clan goal can help you out in your own goals. And I passed!!!!

Got the upload working. Visonstone can be found at this link (http://www.windsofdawn.org/uploads/Liolel/Passing_3rd_circle_test.cl.sit)
Someware between renaming the visonstone and stuffing it 2 extra periods got added before the .sit. I removed them and in now works fine.

Bordeus: 10 ranks
Troilus: 76 ranks
evues: 234 ranks
skea : 22 ranks
aktus: 113 ranks
pathfinder: 10 ranks
hista: 20 ranks
swengus: 126 ranks
halfling: 5 ranks
detha 145 ranks
Balthus 5
respa: 33 ranks
darkus: 40 ranks
Loovma: 40 ranks
Total: 857 ranks (not bad).
That is roughly what it took me in training to pass.

So I have a question. What do you all think of my training. Is it efficint. What should I train next. All advice welcome.

How you train depends on what you like to do and what you hunt.
If you do a lot of solo coin hunting then I recommend at least 40 skea and more Regia/Darkus. More Troilus helps solo fighters too.
If you hunt hard-to-hit creatures then get lots more Atkus.
If you want to brick and be able to hit what you're bricking then Detha/Swengus/Atkus and Darkus for kill rate, especially if you are soloing.
If you want to be a balanced fighter then study Evus to get some of all the fighter skills (I can teach you [:p] ) and Detha to help your defense. This is my training path with a little extra balthus/regia thrown in.

Fist covered it pretty well. It all depends on your style. If you want to start rushing towards 4th the skills you'll need most are atkus (probably about 200-225 for the fury) and swengus/detha so you can brick the greather wraith and the fury (it's nice to brick the green noid too but not as important). But I wouldn't really worry about tests right now, I'd start thinking about what kind of hunting you want to be doing. If you want to start hunting in higher level spots like valley and cove I'd say pump your atkus and histia. Detha/swengus will be good too, but don't overlook your histia as a little histia will be more immediately useful than a little detha (it'll probably be a bit before you're bricking beetles and valley cougars). If you are content to stick to coining and not do as much higher level hunting then probably you want to pump your skea a bit more and go with more darkus and swengus or regia. Evus is always good regardless of your future plans. You might also give some thought to pumping your PF skill up so you can use more paths.
When I passed 3rd I went on a hundred rank non-fighter skill training binge. Passing a tough test like that is a bit of a relief, gives you an excuse to sort of sit back for a while and train the fun things that you don't want to train when you're getting close to passing. That's when I first got into baking and trained my pathfinding up. You may want to take advantage of this time before you start getting near 4th and feel like you're taking away from your test training.

I see you fell for the 10 Bodrus myth. I usually point newbies towards Troilus for the 10 rank minimum.

[:D] Of course I fell for it too, but what can I say- I was an ignorent newbie and all the advice scrolls said you had to.
