Master Spiritus has changed his training recently. He is no longer imparting the lessons of Lady Respia. He has increased the amount of Faustus, Sespus, and Higgerus that he imparts.
He is still the only source, other than Master Rodnus (for 3rd+ Fighters), for learning how to be healed more easily.
But master Rodnus' lessons are capped. At 50 (100 Spiritus equivelent)
Is there any benefit for:
a sub 3rd fighter training more than 100 Spiritus to get the Rodnus earlier
a healer to train more than 100 Spiritus as opposed to Eva (get that Rodnus then switch to Eva who gives more bang for the rank once Rodnus is capped)
Hidden, as the Grand Master of Spiritus, Id like a comment from you please. (Si hoc legere scis nimium eruditionis habes.)

In my opinion, a fighter studying Spirtus to get Rodnus is wasting his or her ranks. What you end up with is one rank of Rodnus for every two Spirtus you train. Rodnus really is not necessary unless you have a lot of Histia training. Most fighters with 150 Histia don't have any Rodnus training. Also, Rodnus is a fourth circle trainer not third and most fighters don't have considerable training with Histia until at least fourth circle. There are many more useful trainers for a third circle fighter than Rodnus or Spirtus.
Spirtus does give a small amount (I heard something like 10%) of Histia/Higgrus. However, my observations have shown me that Rodnus gives an even larger percentage of Histia (33%). If a fighter gets 100 Spirtus to get Rodnus, he or she cannot later study purely Rodnus because the cap has been reached. If you want Spirtus as well then waiting until fourth circle to get 50 Rodnus then studying 100 Spirtus would seem to give you 100 Rodnus. The only cap on Rodnus is studying with Rodnus directly. You can always get more from Spirtus.
Spirtus might be useful for Champions and other fighter subclasses (I heard this is the reason Spirtus was changed).
I think Hidden will agree that a healer can stick with Spirtus through his or her entire career and flip Eva the bird on a daily basis. [:p]

Since there's no trainer called Master Spiritus, I'll assume for the moment that you're talking about Master Spirtus.
First of all, the exact change to Spirtus, as far as I can tell, was converting the Respia component into Sespus, since so far training straight Sespus is slowly building my message back to what it was. This means that it's a slightly better deal than it was before for Fighters, roughly the same as it was for Healers, and much much worse for Mystics (it's no longer their best trainer).
Second, it would be extremely foolish for a pre-4th circle fighter to train with Spirtus, since 50 rodnus will accomplish more than 100 spirtus (a 15 higgrus bonus or so). After reaching 4th circle and training 50 rodnus (which I reccomend for every fighter, regardless of how many Histia they have), additional Spirtus might be reccomended for people with lots of Higgrus, or need for SP, which may well be used in the subclasses.
Finally, since Spirtus doesn't have any cap on the Rodnus component, he is a very safe core trainer for healers, as long as it's supplemented with plenty of Respia.

Ok, I find this very interesting being 3rd circle fighter closing on 4th.
After reaching 4th circle and training 50 rodnus (which I reccomend for every fighter, regardless of how many Histia they have)
Presently I am training with Hista. Trying to get to 150+.
Excuse my ignorance but why does Rodnus training benifit a fighter, especially 4th and above?

Rodnus increases the speed at which a healer heals you. I have heard that it is like adding about 80 Faustus to the healer. The healer loses health at a slightly faster rate but does not lose spirit faster as if they had trained 80 Faustus.
Examples:
-Let's say there are two fighters; one has 50 Rodnus and one does not. They have five healers with them and each healer has 100 Faustus.
-If the fighter with no Rodnus is healed by all the healers at once then he is healed at the speed of 500 Faustus.
-If the fighter with 50 Rodnus is healed by all the healers at once then he is healed at the speed of 500 Faustus plus another 320 Faustus from the combined effect of Rodnus on all the healers.
To answer your question Steady Foot, Rodnus benefits fighters who have high Histia by allowing them to be healed faster and get back into the fight that much faster. Fighters with low Histia will still benefit from Rodnus training.
If all fighters were to study Rodnus when they reach 4

Actually, 3rd circle fighters interested in pursuing a subclass will probably want to train with Master Spirtus, since apparently some of the new Champion abilities make use of spellpoints.

It's still a better idea to wait for 4th circle and get Rodnus training first. (I assume subclassed fighters can still advance in fighter circle).
