Sprite wandered in to town the other day. She teaches "how to improve one's spirit"
Where is she?
What, exactly, does she teach?
Is she a fighter trainer- ready to help those champions without all the extra healer ranks added in?
Will Spiritus go back to his old teachings?

I checked with my healer character and she is now in the healers hall. From everything I heard she's just the old spritus. Hidden posted on the sentinel that he has his old spritus message back with her.

I only wish I could gain access to her as I was seriously thinking of training with the old Spirtus before he got changed. As far as I know, the Respia component of Spirtus got removed and those ranks added to Sespus so that the Fighter sub-classes can't get access to a trainer to improves their spirit regeneration ability. Well, besides all those Fighters and Mystics who've already trained with the old Spirtus.
As Liolel said, she's in the first-circle Healer's room and is just north of Higgrus and she teaches what the old Spirtus used to teach. According to Azriel's page out of every 100 trainings you get 30.3 Faustus, 24.0 Sespus, 20.7 Respia, and 10.0 Higgrus plus Rodnus.

Spirtus and Sprite don't really teach Healer-only skills but skills relating to the spirit bar. Up to this point only Healers and Mystics have had any use for it but if the Fighter sub-classes have abilities which use spirit than they will need to improve that ability as well.
However, I just downloaded Viola's tour of the Champion room and there's a trainer who says "I can teach you to store more Earthpower." which sounds like that's Sespus. If that's so then perhaps Spirtus was changed not to make him better for Fighter sub-classes but to prevent them from getting any Respia trainer. This would prevent them from being able to use their abilities as often as they would if they could regain their spirit faster. So I think Spirtus will not go back to his old teachings, especially since Sprite is now available for the Healers.
I also noticed that Viola has apparently not trained with any of the Champion trainers...

Actually, that's not quite the case. A healer friend of mine had some old Spirtus and lots of extra Sespus, and when Spirtus changed his teaching, he thought less of her. He must have increased some other component as well. If some other healers are regaining their messages with Spirtus by training extra Sespus then he probably also increased the amount of health or Faustus he trains. If I had to guess I'd guess the extra is all in health. Most healers who go the Spirtus route train extra Higgy since Spirtus has such a low health component. Extra health would also fit in with making him better for fighters, since as far as I know Faustus lessons are completely useless for non-healers.

Without knowing how much Spirtus and Sespus your healer friend trained, it's impossible to know whether she trained enough Sespus to make up for how Spirtus now judges people. In addition, if healers are regaining their Spirtus message by training with Sespus then the missing Respia ranks can't be all in Higgrus.
Whether Faustus is useful for Fighter sub-classes depends on how they use spirit. Mystics use a whole bunch of spirit at once and so the two qualties that are most important are the amount of spirit and how quickly the spirit recovers. Healers use a bit of spirit each second and so Faustus is the limit of how much spirit can be used each second and Respia is whether they can keep up with how much spirit they use. Delta Tao seems to think that Fighter sub-classes need Sespus and Faustus if they indeed changed Spirtus to better suit them. However, that doesn't explain about the Champion trainer which may train in Sespus. If I'm correct, why do Fighter sub-classes need two sources of Sespus?

I don't think they do. I think they just needed no sources of Respia.

That's what I think as well.

The earthpower trainer in the champion room is twice as effective as Sespus for healers, much like Sespos for mystics, though not quite as extreme. So there's no reason for me to train Spirtus at all. I'm not sure why a mystic would want to unless it's for the Rodnus part.
New Spirtus has lost all Respia, increased Faustus to 33.3%, Sespus to 30.3%, and Higgrus to 17% (take the numbers with a grain of salt, as it's not really possible to test accurately.)
I have trained with 6 of the 10 champion trainers so far. Currently I'm working on getting the stonegirdle to work, and next up is the lavacloak.
