Does anyone have the interest and ability to set up a web page for tracking the clouds movement? Maybe if we have regular updates to its location we may see a pattern. Or at least know when it is moving closer to the mirror. I am not sure if it would be wise to limit the people that can report its location or just take reports from anyone? I have seen web pages that do this sort of thing but haven't a clue how to set something like that up. Any other thoughts on how to keep track of the cloud while not clanning 24/7?
thanks

I havnt the time to do this myself- but I would suggest putting a puddelby time tracker, a zodiak tracker, a tide tracker, and a cloud snell tracker all on the same page - so that if exile snuffy posts the cloud is over TW 3, the page will annotate that the tide was____, the zodiac was ___, and the time was ___ at the time of the report.

One idea is to set up a Yahoo group and use their tables or databases to collect the data. What you can do is have fields for the date, time, and location of the cloud (you can use the snell location scheme set up by Tonoto to precisely state which snell) and after you get lots of data points maybe you can figure out a pattern if there is one. You can ask for volunteers to write down data and put it in the table. I don't know if there's a program that takes data and can make a pattern from it or if you have to do it yourself.

Or you can just have the volunteers send you the data and you put the information in a database yourself and skip Yahoo group entirely. I use the AppleWorks database myself to keep track of information and while it's no FileMaker Pro it's very useful.

If you need volunteers, please keep my name in consideration. I'd love to help out.

...or just automate it like the WoD "Professional Skills" tables...

Yes, something along those lines would be ideal! Anyone listening know how to do something like that?

This is a great idea but I request we stay away from YAHOO. I get to many ads from them once I join a group.

We can all make notes whenever we are out of the library. Eventually it will all fit together.
