Well, according to Ann GM, the bank will be accepting clan treasury accounts later today. Yay, wa-hoo, we can just dump money into the account! But ....

How we will keep track of the whole mess? Especially with repayments, if it doesn't go through me, I don't know it's happening. Do we want to use a clan account (I think so, because I think it won't charge us a deposit fee). Should we have one, and only have the Treasurer deposit so the records can be kept straight? What are people's thoughts on this matter?

I think maybe it would be best to have everything still go through the treasurer, and perhaps one or two apprentices who would also have access to log activity in the clan fund and would increase the opportunities for clan members to give money to the treasury (I know I have trouble finding you except on the weekends Aerick).

The policy should of course be determined by the treasurer, but I think having one or two people to help you wouldn't be a problem as long as they knew to log all the activity like you do, and then everyone can see the situation with the clan fund.

That new feature of the bank would be pretty useful I think.

I like Kiriel's idea of having Aeirkc get some apprentices. Perhaps clan members who are on at different times so the treasury will be available for deposits, etc...

What happens with withdrawals? Is there a password for withdrawals that will be asked of the person trying to withdraw money? Just so say somebody who is in our clan doesn't end up leaving with all of our clan money! We don't want that to happen!

I have no problem handing money over to Aerick when I see him, although...if he is in the lands but not near town, mayhaps depositing yer own after having Aerick acknowledge it would seem okiedokie with the Windy Dorf.

Here's my idea- Let everyone deposit whenever they want and let them post it.

It's that simple.

Althus, that almost works, except that as the clan grows, and there are dozens of people involved, some will get lazy some of the time, and the system will start picking up inaccuracies. With just me, I've almost forgotten to log a few transactions, and it'll only get worse as the number of people involved gets larger.

And the problem with inaccurate records is that I'm the Treasurer, and any errors are my responsibility, and I don't want to allow for shoddy records, since I'm accountable (and since it's better for everyone to know where all the money comes from and goes).

Oh, and I'll whip me up some Apprentices. First off, Kiriel, since you know the passwords already, and can fix any errors that crop up, and are in that ... other Time Zone, you're in if you're interested.

Oh, and it turns out that depositing to the clan account costs the normal fee, so I'm going to leave the money we have where it is for now, and spend that first until it runs out.

Konoko, withdrawals can only be made by treasurers of the clan who register with the assistant manager.

I HEAR THAT CLAN BANK ACCOUNTS AREN'T WORKING RIGHT!!! CLANS THAT DEPOSITED MONEY LOST IT ALL AFTER THE LAST SERVER CRASH!

DO NOT DEPOSIT ANY MORE MONEY TO THE CLAN ACCOUNT UNTIL THE BUG IS FIXED OR I'M PROVEN WRONG!

oh oh, I had to say to Aerick that I deposited 150 coins on the clan account... hmm... after my 5 metals, this is only a little thing, I suppose :-)

They did some testing last night and fixed the accounts. If you deposited money in the account please let Aerick know so he can see if we have the right amount in there still. Noivad asked me if our clan had put any money in and I said I didn't know.

120c were deposited into that account, of which 5c was the fee, for a total balance of 115c. (Plus what may have been deposited unrecorded).

The balance as of 2pm EST was 0c.

I'll email this info to Lorikeet so we get our share of the repayment, as per the /news.
