Just wanted to know if Histia and Higgrus trained the same thing (maybe the mystic health trainer as well). I have heard that Higgy is better but then from other people that Histia is.. So...

Is one more effective then the other? If so by how much?

Surely there isnt much point in comparing them.
They both train health, healers cant train hista, fighters cant train higgy.
Isnt that all there is to it?

Is health all they train? I've heard, for example, that every fighter trainer trains a little bit of at least one other trainer, so perhaps histia includes a little detha, or something. Haven't heard that about healer trainers, so Higgrus may or may not include a little bit of something else.

I just wanted to kow if they had the same effect on ones life or not..
Health is one of the only basic skills we share.
Oh and fighters could always train under Master Spritus which includes some higgy..

I think Master Spirtus has so little health that it wouldn't really make sense to train with him if you just wanted health. Not to say he's useless but I think you'd be better served by going to either Histia or Higgrus if you want to increase your health the most efficiently.

I think Spirtus is about 10% Higgrus (or at least, Sprite is).

Have any fighters checked to see how much Histia is in Spirtus?

It's my understanding that Higgrus and Histia are essentially just health. I've heard that Histia carries tiny amounts of other stuff, but I have no idea.

It's weird, but I think some subtle things happen just by virtue of having a bunch of ranks. Is there a difference between 500 rank exile, with all the ranks in Skea, and a 0 rank newbie? Besides, of course, the skinning...

I don't think at this point, many of fighters have trained enough of Spirtus to tell if there are other trainers included. I know for myself I have no Spirtus. Although that may change due to the fact I would like to go to cloud without loosing my health and the up and coming Ranger class fighter may require it.

I offer no hard evidence here but it's seems to be the same for me. I have noticed what your talking about and remember thinking that was a little odd but I cann't remember when I made that observation or what I was doing.

According to Azriel (Azriel's Trainer Notes (http://azriel.puddleby.info/trainers.html)) the current breakdown is:

In 100 Spirtus there is: (tested 8/03)
33.3333 Faustus
30.9 Sespus
0 Respia <<<
17.4 Higgrus
0 Horus
0 Awaria
0 'Eva' (ie., no Horus or Awaria)

In 100 Sprite there is: (tested 8/03)
30.3 Faustus
24.0 Sespus
20.7 Respia
10.0 Higgrus
0 Horus
0 Awaria
0 'Eva' (ie., no Horus or Awaria)

Note that he doesn't mention here the Rodnus component, which as I understand it is 50 ranks of Rodnus.

In his accompanying writeup, he refers to "Higgrus/Histia", implying that they are the same, but I don't know whether he actually tested that hypothesis.

The portals require Mentus to avoid damage, not Spirtus.

If the Ranger class is anything like the Champion class then it will have its own spirit trainer which will likely be much more effective for a Ranger than Spirtus. The only benefit Spirtus would have given was Respia, which has now been removed from what Spirtus teaches to prevent fighters from training Respia.

Fist, Thanks for the correction. Now I won't waste my time with Spritus! [:)] At least for portals.

According to Azriel, Bodrus provides 0.21 ranks of Histia per rank of Bodrus. According to my measurements, Bodrus provides 0.20 ranks of Higgrus per rank of Bodrus.

So it *may* be that Higgrus provides slightly more health than Histia per rank. Or, the difference may simply be measurement imprecision.

I'm wondering if the Faustus component of Spirtus will translate to anything useful for sub-classed fighters.

I doubt it.

They just increased it since they took out all of that respia... respia that probably would've allowed fighters to use their special abilities more often. (When, of course, they get those abilities)
