Just out of curiousity, how many clanmembers have 20 or more Loovma? The chain giving-away policy isn't working, as no one has the amount of Loovma I had previously set, which makes me think that it was too high.

I'm thinking about re-adjusting it to 20 ranks for a free chain. How much would that set us back? The treasury only has three pieces of metal right now, too.

I have 0 Loovma, and don't really plan on getting any for awhile, I have other trainers that are just drooling at me....

Although I am getting achain soon, through the clan or not. I feel that my searach and rescue attempts at locating a person, going to save them, and falling beside them is not working to well.
(except for the fact that it attracts healers)

And I hear that many people complain that they have X amount of Loovma and their chains still break on first use, so until this gets better, Loovma for me is just a bunch of ranks that could go toward skryss. :)

Loovma just decreases the likelihood of chains breaking each time you use them, but there is still always a chance they will break early.

I currently have about 22 Loovma. I'm working my way up to 30 and I'm applying to join the Catenae, a Puddleby chaining guild. More info at:
http://www.gamesniper.com/catenae/

However, I can actually generally afford to buy my own chains usually (except for when one breaks the same day my SS wears down :( ) so I don't expect to rely much on the clan fund for chains. I think the clan fund chain program will be of more use to those who don't do a lot of money hunts or are healers or mystics, which typically have lower incomes.

I do think that you should write something up about the chain program for the treasury section of the clan site Aerick. Regarding lowering the limit, that's hard to say since chains really do get expensive and the program could end up getting overly popular. Perhaps you could do matching funds at 20 Loovma? (i.e. 250c and 1 metal if you get the other half)

I'm planning on getting 50 Loovma and starting a chaining career just as soon as I pass 3rd and get some Proximus. (read: never)

I think I am racing with Kiri here :-)
I don't keep an accurate count [I usually wait for the "greetings" of the trainer to know how much I have learn] but I think Ihave something like 22 lessons (yes, me too!) with Loovma. Like Kiri, I would like to have 30.

I am working on the acquisition of Loovma training from time to time - I'm up to 3! Woo hoo!

In the meantime, boring Awaria training consumes my attention...boo hoo!

Kiriel mentioned the chain guild. I emailed Cronos (Cronos@gamesniper.com) about recommended Loovma trainings. Here's his reply:

"To chain effectively, an exile should train about 10-20 Loovma Geer. This should allow you somewhere between 15-30 uses per chain. Be warned that chains can still break on the first attempt, even when you have much more training. If you're low on money, I recommend training 30-40 trainings, which will give you somewhere between 28-88 uses. It all depends on how much you enjoy chaining, and how much you actually use your chain. For more information, don't hesitate to contact me.

- Cronos"

So 20-40 is probably a good range...

Ok heres my plan.
After I become a little better at Skristal use, I will work to get 20 Loovma. With that I will get a chain and only use it when badly needed.
Example if I can get a healer to a fallen I won't use it, but if its important and the person is far from town on a busy night, then I will use it.
