Speak to dwarf in the Alchemist Hut who tells you need to make a special glass for the kit.
Talk to bottle maker in the pottery hut who tells you that he needs a special kind of sand.
Talk to thoom in the western most dune snell who sends the sand to the bottle maker.
Return to the bottle maker who tells you he made your flask and sent it to the Alchemist's hut.
Return to the dwarf in the Alchemist Hut who tells you to learn how to make fire before you can be trusted with the Alchemist Kit.
Go to all places with fire until you run out of options and then bang your head on the nearest hard place.
I've been to every campfire, people have tried the tinderbox, tried the huts on Centaur Island and the beach north of the Lake and the hut on north Fire Island, Badlands, Orion Wood, and many other places.
The only clue I have is when I went to Leth Nimbletoes who told me to look for his sister Josi who would be able to help me. Unfortunately, both Aeaea and Lundar could not sense her presence. Lundar even checked every island to no avail. I have no idea where Josi could possibly be and Lundar suggested that she's not yet present in Puddleby. In other words, the quest isn't complete because an npc isn't present.

Has Lundar or anyone checked the interior of the crater on Devil's Island? There are lots of Firewalker there and lava pits, even a snell full of them... Just a thought.

Yep banging your head in a hard place is how this felt to me. I tried every place I could think of when I was helping himistu and none of them worked. On a positive note Mehan was out of the library to help us as well.

When GM's do the spoilers, then it scares me. Look at all those spelling mistakes. [:D]

Well, I have to admit spoilers from Ann take on a whole new meaning! [:)]

What will Ann do next? [:D]

Good luck on whatever your doing on the bigger spoiler, Ann. [;)]
Also, you got to show me how you do that code.

Also, you got to show me how you do that code.
That code is a cryptogram similar to the puzzles in a newspaper. Each letter stands for a different letter of the alphabet. All you have to do is figure out which letter each of the letters represent. [:)]
It takes a little bit of time but is very do able. Ann is just making sure if you want the "spoiler" there is some work involved to get it. That way it doesn't become common knowledge just by glancing at this thread. [:)]
Good idea, Ann! [:)]
Me now I am lazy hack and slash fighter.... [:)] so... I will just let stay encoded. [:p]

*laughs* I thought it was a more complex code. [:)]
I should of noticed that when I saw two letters together. Silly me. [:D]

Or you could go to the web page whose link is in the message, or if that's down (as I see it is right now), search Google for Rot-13.

Awww Ann, now that's cheating. No use of brain power there! [:)]
BTW Ann got any of those messages for us fighters looking into Bows & Arrows or Rangers?
Thought it wouldn't hurt to ask... [:)] Expecially since some of us are lazy, hack and slashers... [:)]

Hmmm, If Gisela gave out useful information in her scrambled scrolls, like Ann's spoilers, it would be a nice IC way of passing hints.

Some might argue that finding an easier way to do something is the best use of brain power there is. [:)]
