Wormtongue is selling an Orga Eye. He is willing to part with it for 500c. I think 300c is the lower end of what they sell for.
I can't quite recall what we wanted Orga Eyes for. Was it just to get one to each clan member, or a project to give new exiles one?

We were discussing the OE situation after the last meeting. We had thought along the lines of all members having one.

Eep, I remember, not but a few months ago, people where giving away orga eyes, and the highest price for one was like 50 coins. Back then they where just as rare as they are now, the price increase is strange.

FYI, don't buy anything from Wormtongue. He tends to charge high prices because he knows eventually someone with more money than time will just buy at the high price (especially for items which are scarce). Worm's nice, just not terribly seller friendly :)
I believe the actual going rate for OEs is 200-300c but supply is tight so it seems many of those with OEs are holding out for higher rates. We tried winning some in the casino but no luck thus far, and I think buying them will turn out to be cheaper than playing to win (unless those gumballs sell for much).
I think that we were trying to make sure all the members of the clan could get orga eyes. Although it would be nice to get them for new exiles, they are quite expensive, and I doubt we could afford to buy many.
Regarding the price increase, it actually makes sense. As the price goes up, more people are selling their OEs to take advantage of the high prices, but as people sell, the amount of people who want the money more than their OE goes down, so the price has to keep going up to compensate. Barring some major change in orga eye supply, I would expect the price to continue to go up quite a bit yet.

The really funny thing is: Orga Eyes are almost entirely useless. They're certainly no substitute for Horus, and at this point, it's cheaper to buy a potion and give it to a too-fallen. Orga Eyes also marginally reduce slaughter, but on the other hand, if you have to use club + OE to kill something and get experience... what the heck are you doing hunting it?
Just my 2c. I'll be glad to give up my OE to any other clanmember who really wants one.

Remember that you need one to get you onto Centaur Island. Mayhap the reduced supply will be a crisis when something major happens there.
Although I have heard something about an OE-less way of getting onto the isle, I know nothing of it.

Phiros showed us last meeting. I'll give an example:
*Person A has an OE.
*Person B doesn't.
1) Person A goes up to the Centaur, and when the centaur says "You may view our island home briefly, Person A two-legs," sells the OE to B.
2) Person B lets themself in and sells back the OE

It happens fairly often that if a fallen is "quite" when trying to heal him, I can heal him as soon as he/she equips the OE.

Only incredibly close "quites" are actually effected by OEs. 90% of the times I equip my OE to help get raised, it doesn't do much at all. The one thing I think OEs are good for is to *marginally* increase Fighter-Troilus.

I have heard it argued that the OE does not raise troilus, but rather lowers histia - making it appear that you heal faster, but in reality heal the same rate of hit points and merely have less of them overall. I have never used one, so I am not certain.

My experience is that OE does actually speed my healing. I use it quite frequently when hunting solo and healing up as well as when I'm with groups with a lot of people needing heals and I want to make sure the healers don't have to spend as much time with me.
Regarding OEs for healing, my healer finds that she gets a fallen where the OE actually makes a difference about once every 2 or 3 weeks. Certainly not constantly, but every now and again it does help. Personally I find it more useful for speeding healing than raising fallens, but it does assist with both to some degree.

OE prices will continue to rise in price for ever due to them no longer being atainable as in the past. 500c and about for one is becomming more and more common place

How were they attainable before?
And what has changed that makes them no longer attainable?
I got mine from the kind and generous Slyph so it was easy for me! :)

It used to be, that when Orgas dropped chests, 1 person without an OE got one as a part of their share. Now that doesn't happen, probably because of the ease with which we defeat them. Maybe Hatreds will start dropping them if we learn to kill them...

hehe, kinda right. orignaly NPC's like wood would pop onto te ground in OC called fallen orga and you would pluck the eye from it. then it moved to the chests then they went poof
