View Full Version : Fighter in need of a clan

My Name is Romuli. I have traveled these lands for sometime now. For the past years I have been clanless. This was fine for me, as I was content being the 'lone wolf' type.( My OOC life prevented me from long times in the lands). However Like a Wolf I do best when I combine my efforts with the pack. Lately I've been yearning for a sense of belonging, (OOC life is changing). It is this desire that has led me to this clan. I feel I can be true asset to the Winds of Dawn. I am an excellent chainer, infact Urglt even dubbed me the chain champ of Puddleby, (http://movies.puddleby.info/search.t?show=73). I'm also good at following directions of party/hunt leaders, (once I understand them). I have always been happy to help other exiles. I know several members of the clan, I will not mention them by name as I am sure they will speak up in my behalf. I suppose the main reason I choose the Winds of Dawn is it's primary goal of helping newbies.
I've always enjoyed helping fellow exiles newbies and more experienced exiles alike. when It comes to helping new exiles, I'd have to say I enjoy just teaching them the 'ropes' so to say. It's always fun to watch a new exile learn to hunt.
When I'm out of the library I enjoy dodging the 'small rocks' in the passes and taunting the Greymyr. One of my main activites is searching for Ore to give/sell to exiles who want to become Champions, (just ask Viola or Urglt).
I also coin hunt alot as I need money for my Tykan addiction. (small rocks and greymyr)
One of the things that I do not enjoy doing is cutting a hunt short do to OOC life, ( I have a wife and two children ), but my youngest is now 2 and 1/2 years old and I am getting more chances to clan for longer periods of time.
I look forward to joining in more events, and hope that I will become an important member of the clan.
Thanks, Romuli

Romuli,
We look forward to seeing you at WoD events. Our membership coordinator seems to be a bit busy at the moment, so I'll just step in to say that our membership process can take a little while, but that's because we believe that joining a clan is an important choice and one we believe is worth taking the time to get right!

Romuli, thank you for your application! [:)] Since you've followed the application rules I'm guessing you already know that the next step is to attend at least three clan events, (being any official event or anytime that there are 4 or more members together.) The goal is to meet as many of us as possible, so that we can reasonably know you before we decide to invite you to join.
Please let me know when you have both fulfiled the event requirement and feel you know most of the members of the clan, so that I can move forward with your application. Diancecht has applied first, but if you fulfill the event requirement and feel you know the clan before they do you may be moved ahead. Don't rush into it though, it's best if we know you before we vote. [:D]
I look forward to meeting you in the lands myself, if I haven't already... Your name does seem at least a bit familiar.

For the record, I'm thrilled Romuli is applying! Romuli was one of those folks who was a huge help when I was a new exile. He used to take me hunting all the time, and taught me lots of things! So I can definitely vouch for his newbie helping skills :)

Has anyone heard further from Romuli? Has he completed the membership requirements? Is he still interested?

The last I saw him was August 7th so I don't know if he's still interested.

As far as I know he's still interested, but I haven't seen him. Of course I haven't been around much. I believe he has met the requirements, I'll check with him next time I see him.

I am still interested in joining the Winds of Dawn. As far as I can tell it's one of the finest clans in the lands. I have been to three clan events, and I know a smattering of the memebrs. I have not had as much of a chance to clan as of late. For a time there I had no car, (well actualy my old Jeep broke down), so I was homebound for a couple of weeks and was in the lands alot. OOC life has me up at 5:30am, home arround 6:00pm 5 days a week usualy. So I most likely will get very little time during the weekdays to clan. I will try to make the meetings, but at the moment My OOC life is EXTREAMLY busy, so I'm not sure when I will be actualy able to join the clan.
So Again, Yes I still wish to join.
And I look forward to meeting more of the membership.

Ok, great! No rush, just didn't want you to feel your application had been abandoned. The clan will work on getting to know you, and you can work on getting to know the clan for as long as you want. Let me know when you feel you've met a good number of the clan members, and we'll move your application to discussion and vote. It's completely up to you at this point to decide when that happens, since you've technically met all the requirements. As a guideline I'd suggest you try to meet at least 10 members first. Posting on the forum is a perfectly good way to 'meet' folks too, although harder to judge if you've 'met' them or not. [:D]

I wanted to make it to this past sundays meeting, alas my wife had other plans. I did get in some claning earlier in the day though. with a trip out to GI. I wan'st able to out run or out dodge the Cave Cobras and Sturdy Oak gaints, so my little solo hunt ended with Talin and Farhope rescueing me. we then hunted for awhile, indeed until our welcome was worn out. It was a good hunt with farhope and I pretty much beating the you know what outa every Cobra we saw.
I Must say that I feel very 'at home' with membership so far and I can't wait to join! Put it up for a vote when ever you are ready.

Okie, sorrah I'm so slow. We'll be discussing your application this week, and voting on you next week, so you should find results out a bit more than two weeks from today.

Let it be known
I plan on making the meeting on the Saturday, 30th of October. In fact I'll do my best to be there. The sunday meeting times are just not good till after this weekend, so next weekend is the 30th saturday meeting anyhow.
I hope at that time to be officialy inducted into the clan.
Thank you all, Romuli
