Orga Raid Massacre...

The Full Moon Orga raid just took place! We were massacred. :(

The Orga magician appeared but he didn't fully materialise so nobody could hit it. Everyone was wiped out. It was actually only noon or something so they're rescuing them right now so I guess that means there's more time for the full moon?

Anyways, I departed :(
Only my 2nd depart ever though so that's ok...

Ack! One other thing - I emailed a couple pictures of the Orga Magician to Kiriel so maybe she'll post them on the Winds site...

Actually, I was fallen very close to the center myself, so I had a very good view of the Orga Magician (for a long time too!). I made a movie near the end so I will post it, but the long time I was fallen gets pretty boring near the end. Eventually my ooc hubby came home for dinner and I had to depart, but the rescue group had made it to OC3 by then so maybe they got rescued. I think Nunul got lucky and was teleported by the Orga Zealot to OC1. I departed but I don't really mind- I still got a good amount of experience and it was fun, although the end kinda really sucked, I don't understand what happened and it was very disappointing after how far we'd gotten.

I will post the movie and some photos. I'll also try to remember to post some photos from the rat hunt this weekend (movies are easy, photos require slightly more effort).

What's the problem with photos?
Just making sure the size is good for a download?

What I do is use ColourIt, save them as GIF, minimize the colour table, and optimise the 8 bit colour set.

Still, they are a little on the large side after this (depending on the size of the picture). ColourIt uses a custome icon for the picture. Getting rid of this icon usually freews like say 10k or something.

I am still fuming about the result. I wish I could believe that it was caused by Zorton having a stone...but I fear that it was an error of the Gods. I do not believe many exiles will have a taste for returning to OC.

Words cannot express how much it sucked...

Where I was in the camp the talk was that it was maybe because that when the magician materialised, he could not fully materialise since the exiles were underneath him. And since some exiles soon fell underneath him, the magician could not fully materialise...

Anyways, I don't know how much of this has bearing (if any), but it's another theory.

If it was an error of the Gods, was there something different in the way the magician appeared this time than the other times? I've been on other raids but I usually end up fallen or whatever and never see the magician and I don't know what usually happens (except that it gets killed and the opening appears)...

I'm sorry to hear the OC raid has failed! But I'm glad to know that OC raids without me can also fail. (I attended 4 so far and all failed *giggles*)

Regarding the photos, I just posted them. Photos take more time than movies because I trim them, optimize them, and put captions on them on the page. Generally Konoko, you get smaller file sizes with photos like this if you save them as JPG instead of GIF. I also trimmed them down a little and saved them without custom icons. Managed to remove about 20-30K I think.

I'll get the rat hunt photos up now.
