Hi all! I've missed the time I used to spend with everyone in Puddleby (especially when you would pick me up after all the beer [:D] )...

I have finally managed to create some time for my own entertainment again, but it doesn't seem like CL has enough life to really keep it going, or at least to make it fun for someone who remembers the "good ole days". I have finally bitten the bullet and bought WoW, and am going to get put a toe in the water there. Does anyone have any advice/suggestions/beer for a dwarven healer with an appetite for adventure?!

Some total newbie advice is welcome, especially as how to make myself successful....I will eventually create others, but for now I like 'red and want to bring him back - BEER!!!!!!

Heya Aethelred!

I'd dispute CL not having life left. It is true that fewer exiles are out at any given time, but the game continues to evolve and there is plenty to do. I think you left before champions and rangers were introduced - bloodmages are supposedly still in the works. There are several active story-lines and we now have a dedicated "Story-GM." Bartok returned rather spectacularly recently, and something is up with the Darshak as well. We just got more fighter tests - up to 8th circle.

Perhaps the one thing that has changed is that there are fewer "pick-up" hunts in propotion to the number of scheduled group hunts.

Hi Aethelred! Haven't seen ya in ages. I don't really play much myself these days, I've been playing far too much WoW :) We have quite a few CL folks over on the Stormrage server playing Alliance if you want to make any chars over there. If you do, type /join CL so you can find us, that's our shared chat channel so we can keep in touch (we're in a bunch of different guilds these days).

I still login for PAG in CL, but not much else of late. Lot of interesting things happening in the lands from what I can tell, I just don't have the energy for two games and WoW really has sucked me in :)

One of Clan Lord's strongest strengths and greatest weakness is that it takes people to make their own adventures (for the most part, Delta Tao needs to make a good environment). People can't log in and find pre-made quests and pre-made instances and have to do that themselves.

With the lack of people it's been difficult to have as many events and adventures as there used to be. There's a lot of potential there and so many fun things that could be happening but I just don't have the time or abilities to do it all. [:(]

If you were to come back, I think there's a lot you can do and a lot to see but it will take a bit of work on your part. However I think it'll be worth it.

P.S. I also blame WoW for my lack of involvement. BlitzKrieg (Alliance) on Dragonmaw is where I make my home and since we're a raiding guild I raid every night. It takes a lot of time but I can't leave Clan Lord entirely.
