I like histia myself. You get enough of it and then you'll definitely stay up on your feet longer...

Histia's good but don't overdo it, it does increase your slaughter level. When I was fairly new I optimized to get enough Histia so that things like Deadly Crawlers wouldn't knock me out in one hit. That's lasted me pretty well now that I have reasonable amounts of Detha, Balthus and Troilus. If you don't expect to get much in the way of Detha, more Histia is definitely in order.

Only my opinion here:

If you like the Evus' training, you could continue with him for some time (2 others different messages, that is a long time). With that you would have a good training with Histia... but that is the long way.

If you are annoyed to fall too much (too much in your opinion :-), for a 1st circle fighter, I see 2 quicker ways: Swengus (more balance, but if you "swing out", it doesn't change a lot) or Histia as you say.


I know that some good fighters have few trainings with Histia: for example, Urgelt:

Well, I gained 5 or 6 ranks Histia (went Wendie and Arachnae fighting with a big group), and then wetn back to Swengus to see if I can't get a third hit with my Axe :-)

The thing about Urgelt is that he also has muchos Troilus. My fighter has roughly the same Troilus/Histia and sucks, so that's probably not the best measuring stick ;D
