We had a great hunt today. We started out with myself, Terrahawk, Leogic and 4 new exiles, and I'm sorry but I just discovered how to save the text log and I am forgetting names already. One was Pog somthing, another Mysh something, sounded oriental, another was Sithrah and I forget the fourth. I know, bad on my part.

Leogic and the unamed exile had to depart a little early. Leogic did a great thing and put another bounty on Myrm Farmers of 5c apiece!!! My earlier bounty of only 1c apiece had run out.

The five of us that were left continued deaper into the Highlands hive. Perhaps a little too deap. A noble suddenly appeared after we were already weakened from fighting several reds, and we had to run. All made it out except Pog. After healing, and discussing tactics, we ran back in and lost all but myself and Mysh. A call for help went out and it was coming (slowly, many people don't know the Highlands hive as well as the north farm one). But Mysh and I discussed tactics and went back to try and raise our party. Amazingly, after many troubles we were successful and we met our rescue party on our way out of the hive.

With all the trouble we had you might think it did not go so well, but just the opposite. The new exiles learned much and enjoyed the hunt.

Important lessons learned:
1. Switching from sharing kills to survival mode.
2. Switching from hunting at all to equiping purses and getting out of there. The new exiles were amazed at how they were able to run by nobles and royals while carrying their purses.
3. Sacrificing fighters to save the healer. At one time I yelled out, "Sacrifice yourselves, I must live" <g>. All didn't at first understand, but later, just about everyone, including Terra did sacrifice themselves to keep me alive.
4. How to rescue fallen.

Mysh did a great job of running the big guys around mushrooms. After all were up and out of the queen chamber area, he was still down there, running around mushrooms keeping the big guys busy :), THEN he was able to run out on his own.

A thoroughly enjoyable near disaster.

Oh Kiriel, one of the exiles showed up because he got an enchanted mail with the time. So your automatic mailing system is starting to show some results.

It's good to hear the mailing list is working.
And the hunt sounded quite fun!

Congrats Heyboy on a successful event!

I'm glad to hear the hunt was good and the mailing list is helping. I've also recently begun posting the new exile hunts to the http://www.clanlords.com/ site, which has a calendar, although I don't know if many new exiles visit there.

You're doing a wonderful job with the new exile events Heyboy!

It was fun, and I'm sure the new exiles learned a lot (lathough I think I had to beat them around the head to get them to understand that running means equipping purses :-)

Heyboy, if I'm ever on and you're doing another new exile hunt, I'll gladly come along and brick again. I'm getting better at bricking. I can almost brick a royal (as long as I dont swing out... :-)
