View Full Version : Proceeds from Money Hunts

I was thinking about clan hunts designed to bolster the Treasury, and was wondering how to handle the money gathered from the hunt.

My first reaction is that the money earned on a money hunt is not money that individuals are donating, rather, it is the revenue from a clan function. Like if we had a Walk-a-thon, the person donates the time and energy, but the money is not from them directly.

The technical detail enters into this about how repayments work with this system. If what I described above is how things work, then people who need to repay debts can't use clan hunt money towards that end, which might be kind of frustrating to them, and encourage them to not participate in clan money hunts in favor of hunting alone to pay off their debts.

Perhaps just having all money made in clan money hunts be owned by whomever gets it, with the social expectation that they will send it into the Treasury will be the best system.

Either that, or have two different types of money hunts. Perhaps if the Hunt Master sets up a money hunt for the clan, the money belongs to the individual (with the realisation that much of it will get donated), but if the Treasurer sets up a money hunt, all of the money belongs to the Treasury, with no repayments.

Could I get ideas, suggestions, and thoughts on this matter? Does anyone else even see it as an issue, or have I conjured in my mind when I wasn't looking?

I would prefer money hunt with all the money belongs to the clan. But I don't have any money problem so...
The decision for this hunt is for Ender, no?

However this hunt is to function is entirely up to Ender.
