Well, I was thinking that we should all sit down and figure out what the flying monkeys our policies are regarding outside influences. We were going to do that after the last meeting, and after the meeting before that.

SOoo, I think I'll take a stab at forming up my thoughts, and letting others comment.

OK, so that was a bit of a cop-out. =)

I am in favor of involving ourselves in everyone's business. Well, not the inner workings of clans, or other private affairs, and not anywhere where we aren't wanted.

But I think that we should make our voices heard, and the voices of new exiles heard, through as many venues as we can. I will stridently resist the non-involvement of by Amy (I don't know if that was all secret talk crap or if you were all informed of it, I can go into depth if needed).

And Snaggy just got ugly, so this is getting abbreviated

I would suggest or comment that we should take baby steps...but steps all the same toward involvement in this area. Much is on the horizon as I've heard and we may need to focus on more concrete issues.

As for "policies" are we talking about touting an agenda? I'm not sure the waters have calmed down much since the demise of Tenebrions lackey. Until then, it may be risky to take a political stance. We are too young of a clan to "pick sides" if you will.
I have tried to keep up with the talk about anarchy and such in the newsgroups, but one thing has stuck in my mind. This is the fact that even if we have a "government", the system we live under now allows any ONE exile to make a choice which can have impact on the whole population. (ie. the Tarf incident).
I think I am commenting on your post Aerick, but if I have missed the point of the question, please bonk me with a Greymyr Rock Candy!

Well, we could, and should at some time, come up with stances on specific issues, but I meant more broad ideas on what we want, long term.

I think the first step is to absolutely ascertain that we all want the clan involved in extra-clannar events and information.
Then, give Konoko a feel for what we as a clan want, so she can at least guess what we want in certain situations, if she's asked on the spot.

I want to start visiting the other clans and pop in on their meetings and let them know about us. I'm sure to get questions so knowing this stuff would be extremely helpful!!!!!

I think we should defintely work to get involved with the goings-on. And work to ensure that the non-taintless population of Clan Lord gets a shot at being involved in some of the goings-on as much as the taintless ones (because in all of the plot oriented events ive witnessed, it seems that pretty much only pre-rip people have gotten acknowledged)

Hmmm, I'm thinking the cessation of responses indicates that no one really has any strong opinions that run contrary to the [admittedly few] concepts adressed here.

Konoko, I would encourage you to start visiting other clans and just making up any answers you need to. =)
