This topic is to discuss the type of challenges we want and which clan we should challenge.

For details please refer to my email or the post in the "We're in!" topic.

Actually, I think that we could maybe use Corwin's idea of taking advantage of our low ranks.

Falling in Noids might be a bit too easy for some other clans, how about Myrm Hive? ;-)

Or try to invent a new 'falling' competition, with judges who subjectively determine the winner based on dispersion of fallen after 15min? I think it'd be a neat idea.

I had a nice long post almost completed here when my browser crashed (using an NT machine at work, 'natch).

*sigh*

I'll try again later.

Another possible idea alteration to the race concept would be a scatter-race [name invented]. We'd all start somewhere, and have to run to 2-4 different locations, but everyone leaves at the same time, and the first clan with all their runners to return to the starting place wins. I think it'd be neater than a standard relay race.

Perhaps we can try suggesting the scatter race idea this time and then next challenge we can try for the fallen dispersion idea. I like both of these. The fallen one is pretty funny...

So if we have a race or a variant of the race (say Aerick's scatter race idea) for the first challenge, what will we choose from the other challenge?

It has to be from cultural or hunting. As Lai mentioned, the cultural performance one would be a lot of work. So if we count out the cultural category, that leaves the hunting category.

So what do we want to offer there as a challenge?

The battle? We'd probably lose depending on who shows up from the other clan. Or maybe we'd win. Either way it'd be fun.
The battle has a few stated variants such as best 2 out of 3 or best 3 out of 5. Or do do a battle where the clan has to kill the opposing clan's clan lord. I think the clan lord is whatever name is specified on the official clan list so in our case it'd be our Typhoon, Kiriel...

Or a money hunt? Again we might be out-numbered here.

Suggestions on 2nd challenge?
What do people want?

As soon as I get some form of consensus I'll write it up and then we can decide on times...

Have we challenged anyone yet?

I had another great idea! Basically an arena match against a major clan, then when they beat us down, we call them bullies. I think it'd be funny. =)

Another possible game would be 'Tag,' wherein the objective is to 'tag' (hit once) a certain person on their team. You don't know who the person you have to hit on the other team is, but it has to be a Healer or Mystic (or the bums would be able to brick us!)

That's an interesting one too...

I'm thinking we'll try the scatter race one and then something else. So far that's 2 for an erena battle of some kind.

I'll see what people say at tomorrow's meeting and get some possible times so we can start challenging...

Yeah yeah, I'm not in yet nor am I guarenteed to be in, but I'm just going post-happy tonight ;)

A cultural challenge, IMO would be the best for a clan like WoD. Face it, all or most of the other clans in Dun'ilsar have high 3rd or even 4th circle fighters. WoD can't really compete with that except on the "calling them bullies" level ;) (which is by no means a bad thing)

On the other hand, WoD has a WAY higher average intelligence than most of the other clans. You (we?)'d probably do great in a cultural challenge and IMO it'd be a lot more fun. Of course, considering that I'm not even in the clan... well, whatever.

The problem for me with "cultural" challenge are the language :-) ... but I will find funny to try.
