"I'll add you to the web scroll and announce you joining to the list in a few days."

So we should easily be in it by our next meeting.

I'll try to get a few possible challenges written up so we can decide who to challenge and when...

Can we make a challenge us vs. everyone? At once? In the arena? It'd be funny, at the very least! Well, have fun with it.

So I'll work on getting some possible challenges written up and stuff. I'll maybe put a few together and then have Gray send a vote or something or post stuff here for discussion or something.

We'll definitely need to have discussion to pick times when we can have our first challenge.

I'll do a few things on my end and then let the group know more soon...

Pick times? Bah, choose challenges we can do with one or two people, so we'll be OK when most of us forget or are busy.

Here's a good challenge to start with: Quickest clan to be wiped out in noids!

2 challenges have to be offered and each has to be from a different category.

There are 3 categories:
1. Hunting:
- Battle (arena battle)
- Money Hunt (get as much money as possible)
- Hunter (one member tries to kill the largest variety of creatures as possible)

2. Exploration:
- Race (single exile race or relay race)
- Rescue (a member falls somewhere and the winner is the first clan back with the fallen rescued)
- Search (collect as much wood as possible)
- Visiting Noble (outfit a visiting nocle (char) with clothes)

3. Cultural Contests:
- Performance (performance of some kind by each clan in front of judges)
- Written Work (written or illustrated work from each clan given to judges)


So with having to offer 2 challenges, I'm thinking that based on our size we'd want to do a race (or relay race) and something else...

What do people think the something else should be?
The really large clans have benefits in areas such as the arena battles and the money hunt. But we could try these cause I'm sure they'd at least be fun...
And the written work challenges sound like lots of work...

So what suggestions do people have?
The challenges I've listed and the normal challenges offered. Changes to challenges or a brand new challenge are basically fine if the other clan agrees...

I am personally for any of them except for the search (because that sounds like a really blahze time of things). the performance sounds cool, but requires loads of coordinated clanning with every member (which i dont think we can do). and, from what ive seen, the visiting noble is somethign of a joke - people send that one when they want to ensure that their other choice is picked (because few clans if any want to spend their hard earned cash on clothes).

Hi WoD,

Well the old way to move up the list fast was to challenge lots and lots(you went up one place whether you won or lost, so the inactive clans would fall to the bottom). That won't work with the new structure of Dun'ilsar though. You have to win to get up the ranks.

You need to look at the clan you're challenging and what their weaknesses are. Someone like Red Quill will be good at the Performances and Written Work, but not so good at a rescue/race or arena(unless Babajaga is there *gulp*). Whereas DM would most likely be the opposite.

Anyway, with the new setup there is no point in challenging NnK except for practise. To move to the next step you need to challenge: Hunter, SDC, RC, or BOI. All pretty tough clans, but if you can beat one and move up to that step on the ladder you're off to a great start. Look for the one that is most inactive, you have a good chance of catching them off guard. RC is probably the scariest of those four, stay away from them. ;o)

Well, I've blathered on long enough now. I hope I helped. As I said on the Arena thread OWE would love a fun contest if you're interested. Anything I can do to make Dun'ilsar better, the more active clans the merrier!
