Fun Dun'ilsar: Winds vs OWE

Please post any suggestions you have as to which event you'd like to challenge OWE in...

Remember, Kryll said we could have Natas so maybe we could do an arena or badlands thing and we can just watch Natas wipe them all out! :)

We could do:
1) the race as proposed by Aerick: [from the forum] "scatter-race [name invented]. We'd all start somewhere, and have to run to 2-4 different locations, but everyone leaves at the same time, and the first clan with all their runners to return to the starting place wins. I think it'd be neater than a standard relay race."
2) An arena battle: to see how much seconds we stay up. Or, as OWE is sure to win, nobody from OWE (beside Neige) will come :-)
3) Something with the badlands, where the WoD will try sneaking, and OWE will try to catch us...
4) Something like a silly hunt: the first clan to locate all the cats in town; or more difficult the first clan to locate Ma'Tota, Gride, Gramps. Difficult to set up, as we need to do that with a strong honor code (it would be easy to begin to search before the Dun'ilsar begins)
5) A pushball match
6) Every member of one clan must hide herself/himself in an area (south forest, marsh, devil's island,...), the other clan must find them, quickly. Best time wins (each clan will, one time, hide, the other time, seek).

I'd be glad to join in every area which doesn't involve killing exiles. I'd even volunteer as the ball for the pushball game. =)

My favourites in Farhope's list are pushball and the hiding [that is if being fallen in a hut in Orga Village is allowed ;)]

Can someone enlighten me what the "capture the flag" is Lilly mentioned in another posting? It sounds as if one clan tries to capture something (or go to a certain spot) and the other clan tries to hinder them doing so. I wonder *how* they try to hinder them. I somehow fear that killing is involved? :)

The capture the flag thing is already setup in the badlands. I only popped down there once to look but it looked like it would be fun.

There are 3 or 4 bases each with 3-4 flags. You turn a flag on in the base and then the base is that colour. I didn't really experiment but this is how I understand it works.

However, the badlands are like the arena in that player killing is allowed...

Also Sargon, with the Bad Lands, there is the element of various critters after you.

You might want to take stock of your clan's strengths and weaknesses and think about events that match your strengths. I'm sure that anything we do together can be fun, but some events would probably be more useful to you than others.

We were initially thinking of challenging the NnK but that was before the new-tier system of rankings.

We can challenge clans in the tier above us. We haven't put much though into which clan though. When we were going to challenge the NnK we had a couple of challenges written up. One was something like the "Scatter-Race" that Farhope refers to above...

As far as the fun challenge goes, I really love Farhope's 6th idea. Perhaps a combination of that and the scatter race would be even more fun.

Clan A's members have 20 minutes to scatter out using any method possible. Then Clan B has to find as many as possible before they get back to the start. Just a visual tag works, and visionstones could be used in judging. Mystics allowed. Fine tuning suggestions appreciated.

As far as a serious challenge goes, I think we'd fare best against Hunter, since we're bigger than them (and tougher, if we luck-hit Katan to death ;D). In addition, they seem to be a lot less active recently, so there's a good chance of them having low turnout.

Me thinks we should stop discussing and just do one of the things Farhope mentioned. We're discussing now since almost 2 ooc-months! :)

How about this: We make a vote of the challenges in Farhope's list (of course we can add some more before :), fix a date with OWE and just do it? :) They invited us to come up with a suggestion, so let's make one and don't let them wait forever! :)

One thing I think we don't need to include is the pushball thing. I think it would be a good option for a serious dun'ilsar but we should try one of the other ones against OWE to get experience with something we haven't tried yet. I will include it on the vote though - maybe everyone else totally disagrees with me.
