In an attempt to find a way to include more members in our regular meetings, I think it's time to start another thread on potential clanning times for the various members. Please post what times you could make a meeting (at least most of the time if not always). Perhaps we can try a two times a week schedule or alternate weeks or something, but until we collect times it's hard to know.
My times:
6pm-12am PST Tuesdays, Fridays
9pm-12am PST Mon, Wed, Thurs
12pm-12am PST Sat, Sun
(PST = GMT - 8)

Hi
I could usually make the meetings at the following times:
CEST (= GMT+2)
Mon-Thu 9pm-11pm
Fri 9pm-1am
Sat 8pm-1am
Sun 8pm-11pm
converted to PST (= GMT-8)
Mon-Thu 11am-1pm
Fri 11am-3pm
Sat 10am-3pm
Sun 10am-1pm

PS. I'm a bit confused about 12:00 AM and PM. Which one is midnite? (Sorry for my ignorance, but in Europe the HH24 format is more common)

At the moment I can make the followng times (please remember Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) is GMT+10) :
Weeknights : 4:00-7:30 pm
Weekends : Really depends on what's happening.
To give you an idea (as some fo you may know), the current clan meeting occurs for me at 6 am Mondays.
Oh, and Sargon, midnight is when it changes form 11:59 pm to 12:00 am. Yes, I'm used to a 24 hour clock too.
OOC : On conventions, in Australia we actually use dd/mm/yyyy, but thanks to my old job I'm used to seeing it as yyyy/mm/dd (or yyyymmdd :-).

First, I must say that the meeting time is perfect (really perfect :-) for me...
usually, I am out the library at:
CET
9pm-10pm (sometimes a little more, sometimes a little less)
also Wed./Sat: 9am-10am (but certainly not always)
also Wed/Sat/Sun: 3pm-4pm
In PST time, I don't know... (confused with changing time)

My basic understanding is that if it's early enough to not be a painful hole in my day's activity's, it's too early for Kiriel, and probably them other PSTers. I'm pretty flexible about sort of attending meetings, but I don't think there's any time other than times that would translate to 6-9am PST that is 'convenient' for me.
*shrug* I'll make do as best I can.

Could we make a meeting in the evening for our members living in US, the saterday. So it will be sunday for our member(s) in Australia (or Japan btw).
Maybe something like (I am not sure of my calculations :-):
9pm east time - 6pm west coast [saterday] - 11 am in Australia [sunday]
or
+1 hour
or
+ 2 hours
or
-1 hour
... something like that. In fact, YOU decide, not me as I will never be able to attend... but Sargon and me have already the best time for the meeting :-)
Side (but important) question then: 2 meetings/zodiac or 1 meeting/zodiac and alterning the time of the meeting... I would prefer the second solution but can be confusing for (new) exiles wanting, for the first time, to attend.

Hi
There still are many people who didn't specify their preferred time for clan meetings. If you are in the list below, _please_ post your preferred times on the WoD board
(group "Clan Meeting Schedules", thread "On new or alternating meeting times")
Lilly
Corwin
Tessa
Gray
Heyboy
Konoko
Nunul
Nuvali
Phiros
Pucker
Tater
As mentioned in another posting already, I think it's most important that there's a meeting for _everyone_ in the clan he/she can participate. I'd rather see that most of us can't make it to both meetings (in case there are multiple meetings) than one person who can't make it to any meeting.
_Please_ respond and make your preferred times known. :)
This message is both posted on the WoD board and sent as enchanted email to all clan members. If you don't want/can't visit the WoD board, feel free to send the preferred times to me (sargon@windsofdawn.org) and I will post them on the WoD board for you.

All Times in CST
<b>Availability:</b>
Friday Nights: Usually from 9pm until my wife tells me "enough already"!
Saturday: 9 am until whenever (sporadic)
Sunday: 9 am until whenever (sporadic)
Weekdays: Maybe a couple nights from 7 until who knows...
<b>Preferred Times:</b>
Saturday: Morning, Afternoon or Evening...(from 9 am until 9pm)
Sunday: Morning or Afternoon (from 9 am until 6 pm)
As warmer weather approaches, I probably won't be available during some of the weekend afternoons.
<i>Nuvali starts singing with the sort of unabashed and out-of-tune voice you've most likely come to expect, "Sunshine...on my shoulder...makes me haappeey!"</i>

Well, let's see....
Weekdays are great for me. Anytime between 9 a.m.-2 p.m. EST.
Sunday afternoons/evenings are probably better than Saturday for me, but no matter.
My schedule is really very flexible so I'll do my best to work with whatever meets the needs of the rest of the clan.

The most reliable meeting times for me would be on Sunday Monday Wednesday or Thursday, from 11:30 P.M to 3:00 A.M in CST.

Nunul

Nunul's Preferred Times:
Weekends: Morning, Afternoon or Evening...(very skechy due to warm weather, wife, etc.)
Mondays: Small window from 5PM EST to 7:30PM EST
Wednesdays: Another window between 5PM EST to 8:30PM EST
Thursdays: Occasional 5PM EST to 11PM EST
Those being stated, I'll try to be as flexible as I can with whatever can be arranged.

Sunday are best for me, but that's still no guarantee that I'll be able to make it every week. Any other alternate meetings the clan schedules I'll try to make on a case by case basis.

I'm in the CST timezone so any reasonable time on the weekends (say 10 AM to 10 PM). Of course, lately my weekends have been busy with OOC stuff but as for whenever the meeting is, I'll always try to make it...
As for evenings, Tuesdays are no good. Other than that, Monday, Wed, and Thurs between say 6 PM CST to 10 CST. But my availability on weeknights fluctuates. And I don't like playing during the primetime slowdown (now 7 PM to 10 PM CST) but if there was a meeting during that time I'd still attend if I could.

Konoko- are you in an area which participates in daylight savings time? CDT is 2 hours later than PDT, but if you are in a CST area that's only 1 hour later. It would be useful to know for creating a chart of available times.

Ok, here's an idea for how to go about the 2nd meeting scheduling.
The following are the members I know for sure have a problem with the current meeting time:
Lilly
TerraHawk
I do not know of the folks who come sometimes to the meetings but not regularly whether another time would help them much or not. If you think another time would work much better for you, it would help to know to add you to the list.
That said, I say we pick a time we know for sure Lilly and TerraHawk can usually make. Then we try to narrow this time as appropriate to include as many other members as we think it might work for. Then we try the 2 meetings a zodiac, see how it goes, and decide whether we should switch to alternating weeks.
Ideally, we could consider making the Sunday meeting a little earlier or later if that would help folks, assuming that if it's earlier I can go to the other meeting (since as much as I love my clanmates, noon on a Sunday is the earliest I will promise).
I was thinking, based on my experience with the clan, that we actually seem to have quite a few clanmates on in the late night hours on the weekdays (say midnight or 1am PST). Although it seems odd to me to schedule a meeting at such an hour, if it would work for the schedules of the folks who can't make the current meeting, and if we can regularly get at least 5 or 6 members in attendance, it might not be a bad time (although it would pretty much guarantee our ESTers wouldn't show up for it). I notice we also have many clanmates on in the early evening hours (PST) but I suspect this is the same group who generally has no problem with the current Sunday meetings.
So I'd like to hear some input on the subject. I would really like to see everyone in the clan weighing in on this topic- meeting scheduling is an important issue and it would be good if we can narrow down on a decision soon.

Kiri - I'm CST. My province doesn't do daylight savings time...
It gets a little confusing for a bit when the rest of you do silly things like changing your clocks! :)

Well if the meeting is scheduled any sooner on suday I for sure wont be able to make it right now it is hard to make it at the time it is scheduled for now. Because of OOC priorities. As for the weekdays Wensday is the best week day for me around 6:00 p.m.- 10:00 p.m. mst. I would be able to make that one for sure. All other times are really if I don't have any ooc things to do since summer is here I rarely sit inside on the comp only at night.

Sorry for not responding sooner.
Generally I'm pretty flexible (which really means I have no control over when conflicts will occur).
But:
Late evening (after 2200 EST) is really bad for me.
Weekend afternoons will become problematic as summer proceeds.
I think an alternating schedule will probably serve best (and no reason to only have two times; alternating among three or four could be even better). Once we decide on the choices, I'll make every effort to get out reminders a few days in advance.

Sorry, I not respond earlier, but not much I can say. Current time is becoming harder as summer approaches. But my schedule is always changing, so I really no can say what other times are good for me. Just set time for other people and I try to attend when I can.

Whatever happened to my suggestion of having a meeting time of late night Friday for you USA-ians (which becomes early morning Saturday for me).
We had at least 6 WoD members on the same time last week.
I made a suggestion somewhere in the forum on this, but it looks like it got ignored...

TerraHawk,
at what time (precisely) do you propose we would have an alternate meeting?

I put the following in another forum message somewhere.
-----
The number of WoDers on the other day (Sat morning for me, when we were in the Undine Hut). Might be a good time for our alternate meeting time.... (8:30 or 9:00 am Sat Morning Australian Eastern (GMT +10:00) works for me :-)

Greetings,
Well, right now im pretty flexible so I could make just about any times but that is subject to change. Saturday mornings CST works and does a late friday night time.
Whatver happened to the pole that Gray was sending around? Did everyone sign up for a time that suited them best or what? I never heard the outcome of this pole.

I really didn't get enough replies to put together the set of times I was thinking of.
If any of you would like to reply, please do. (If you need the original request, drop me a note.)
In any case, as soon as I find a 'round tuit (though they seem rarer than pieces of fine wood) I'll try to make some sense out of what I have and the comments you all have posted in the forum.

Greetings,
Yes, thank you Gray. I remember you now telling me about this lack of participation in the poll. It sadens me that so many ask for alternative meeting times, yet so few take the time to complete a short poll and thus voice thier opinion.
I do not understand this. It takes so little time. My plea to my fellow clan mates is to please participate in making this a better more efficient and more fun clan! But in order to have these things, all must be involved in making such descisions.
My advice Gray, would be that if in such situations the majority is not participating in making descisions, then you must go with what you have. Go ahead and set up an alternative meeting time that fits the needs of those that have responded to your poll.
If not enough show up for the meeting, say after 10 minutes or so, then cancel it or reschedule it. I for one will be there for whatever you schedule.
