Mercurial Staff Uses

Here's a question for those who tend to be in the know: Does a mercurial staff function as a cad? Typ said that it does, which I want to double-check. My next questions specify my uncertainty a bit more. Is it just as effective, or is there a loss of proximus when using the Staff? Basically, is there any reason for me to not trade in my cad for the 300c deal for a Staff? Thanks for any info

The Mercurial Staff is exactly like the old Caduceus. They were separated into two items because some healers complained that they couldn't turn off burst-healing. The Merc. Staff functions exactly like a caduceus except with the added bonus of burst-healing.

Burst-healing, however, is a double-edged sword. It drains all but the very last of your spirit, so if your cad target suddenly decides to run away, you're really screwed. Beware :)
