View Full Version : Another Trip?

Now that I seem to have my feet back on the keg, I think it is time to organize another trip into the Fire Island interior. I have looked at my visionstone from our last trip inside, and I have a few things I think we should take a look at this time. A more methodical approach if you will...
At any rate, do the Saturday expeditions work for everyone, or should I try to set it up on another day?
Also, if anyone wants a copy of my visionstone from the last trip inside, let me know...
Yours in Beer,

Sounds good! Saturday should work for me...
Do you think we'd be organised emough for this Saturday (12th)?
I won't be able to make the 19th. It's Victoria Day weekend so I'll be gone for the long weekend! :)

I can make it on the 19th, but I'm not sure about this Saturday. I'm having a Clan Lord gathering at my OOC house that afternoon and I'm not sure how much time I'll have prior to folks showing up. I'll try to make it if it's this Saturday, but I may have to leave early.

Kiri! An OOC Clan Lord party and we're not invited?
Your own clanmates? For shame! :)
Unless your OOC house is really close to western Canada, I probably can't make it... :(
Next time! :)

mmm...party.....mmmm....someone else's beer......
Now, on to business - I am shooting for 2:00 pm on Saturday the 12th for the trip right now. That time is tentative as we need a couple things in order to go into the interior:
1) A full PF (or two)
2) Sufficient fighter support, namely at least a couple fighters that can hit and kill firewalkers. That means 3

WoD and Tan went to FI a week or two ago. We did ok with the lava walkers. We came across 2 I think. We just surrounded them and beat on them while the healers kept the fighters up. That seemed to work...
But I'm sure if there was something else there in addition to the walker that would divide us into 2 groups, we'd probably we wiped out... :)

hrm...maybe it depends on when you go, or just luck...
The last time I went (that first successful Tan-WoD trip through) we ran into 6 walkers that I counted...maybe more. There have also been stories of firedrakes in there, but I haven't yet seen one.
At any rate, if we can surround and pound, that is good. I know Kiri can hit them pretty well, and I think Fist can as well, but I still worry about a nasty spawn of them =)

I'd love to be able to make it this Saturday but it's Mother's Day weekend and my daughter's B-Day, also. I think it'll be nice if I "just say no" to CL. :-)
But please kick a firewalker (or 2) for me!

2 pm PDT Saturday makes it 9am Australian Eastern on Sunday.
TH may possibly be able to make it, but don't hold your breath, as it depends what kind of night I have on Saturday...

ermm....actually I meant 2:00 pm Eastern time, which still doesn't seem to be working out for too many people. The one reason I try to do these in the afternoon is that primetime = death for those of on the east coast (and in Europe I believe).
Other options here are to make the start later in the day, or even do a "no social life" hunt at midnight Eastern time to get in after the fog o' death wears off.
This Saturday isn't looking too promising at the present time, so lets get some suggestions out there to find the perfect time =)

oh 2pm eastern time! That is very different!
Then I hope to come to join you in your exploration. Maybe not at time...
OOC: I certainly need 1/2 hour to 1 hour for the children, after that they will (I think :-) sleep.
Now I have to run to see if I can open the cave :-)

And 2pm Eastern is exactly what in GMT?
Sorry, but I don't tend to memorise US time zone offsets, since I don't live there (yet).
