The latest issue of the clan newsletter (plus an ammendment, there's always an ammendment or an addendum... *sigh*) is now in your enchanted mail box.
Enjoy.

I'm glad you do Konoko, but the bad news is I'm thinking of quitting clan lord.
It appears some healers think I'm a joke because I fall in SF a lot to Boloks.

Unless there's something else, I'd say that's no reason at all to quit! Nobody takes me seriously either. You'll get used to it :)

You're thinking of quitting because of what some healers think?
Sorry in advance to all the healers out there, but you do realise that they're just healers, right? I think many a healer have fallen to boloks!
And besides boloks are tough! You can find some with a lot of darkus.
And you're tougher than I am! I don't go wondering solo in the south forest mostly because of the boloks. I prefer NWF. There are less boloks there I think...
But don't quit! Take a couple weeks off! Forget about all the pressures of trying to play all the time! I have no idea how people can do this anyways. I'll clan usually saturday morning and then early sunday afternoon when we meet. Take some time off from your great bi-weekly newsletter.
Don't feel like you have to get up early to come to a weekly meeting or to join a hunt. If you feel like it come to every other meeting or something.
Or think of it this way, you're the sole representative of WoD for the timezone you're in. Farhope's the European contact, I'm in Canada, I think the others are all in the states. You're the WoD Australian contact. Who will represent WoD at these times if you leave?
Don't quit! Take some time off! It seems to have done well for Tarf, Slyph, Aethelred, and Lai. They all said they were leaving and then came back (some within a couple days and others within like 10 days). And now Sargon's taking a break.
I really don't see how someone can clan daily or every other day or however often people do. Take a break from clan lord. Try to remember what life was before you were stranded on Puddleby.
I've been in Puddleby now for just over 13 ooc months. Not once have I even thought of quitting. I think the key to this is that I'm not clanning all the time. I'll come to the weekly meetings and the occasional hunt. I don't often clan during the week except for maybe for a couple hours every now and then.
Don't let Puddleby take over your life! I think some people lately seem to be getting burned out. Just sit back and relax! Go outside, watch TV, or even try out some other game. Go get Baldur's Gate or Diablo II or something and play with those for a while...
Stop clanning for a while. Library ranks count just the same as ranks one gets out in the savannah, etc. I would think that probably 90% if not more of my ranks are library ranks. Just save up some library ranks and take a breather. There's no shame in going away for 2-3 weeks. I did that back in February and for a while in March. Keep tabs through the forum, newsgroups, etc...
Or start clanning for less time. Limit yourself to a few hours on the weekend or something...
I've written these speeches about not quitting and just taking a break from Clan Lord several times over the past few weeks. In this forum, in the Tan forum, and in email. I think it's helped. I haven't lost anyone yet! Lai's back, Slyph's back, Aethelred's back, and I'm sure Sargon will be back...
Don't quit! Just take 2-3 weeks off and just see how refreshed you feel when you finally emerge out of the library with a bunch of ranks waiting for you...
Don't leave!

After talking to various people (Amarais Fina, Luminary, and one or two others), I am not leaving.

There are several Healers I admire, and hope to be like one day. It seems like more than half of them are clanmates now :-). Are any of them teasing you? I enjoy a good rescue. Having to dodge a big kitty-cat while healing makes it more fun! Wheee!
But I haven't received a copy of the newsletter! Does sombody not like me? :-(

No, no one in WoD said anything.
As for receiving the newsletter, well, I sent it out, but got a message back saying that deliriumcl@aol.com had fatal errors.
Perhaps you could supply Kiri with another enchainted mail address that works?
I got the following back :

I assumed Kiri got a copy of the above, but obviously not.
If you give Kiri a working e-mail address, she'll fix your entry in the database. If you send me a working e-mail address, I'll re-send the newsletter directly to you.

(somewhat ooc)
Oh dear. Yes I did get mail from the lady who used to be a dragon, and I thought I had corrected my enchanted address with her. (deliriumcl@aol.com is correct and should work). I note that the enchanted record has a wrong spelling of my name, though. It is Delirium, not Delerium. I have sent an enchanted mail directly to TerraHawk, but I am worried others might try to use the wrong name as well. I am getting enchated mail notifications of posts to this forum, so I know the account works.

I have fixed the enchanted mail address for Delirium, so all the new mail should go to the right place. If there is anywhere else it's wrong Delirium, please let me know. It didn't get fixed until after the newsletter went out though, that's why you didn't get it. I have posted the newsletter on the scrolls so you can read it there.
