Please post any info pertaining to Gaia and her Temple in this thread.
(OOC: I am aware the GM of Gaia may be gone, but since the temple remains, I believe it to be a quest that is able to be completed-The Windy Dorf)

The temple has yet to be finished. the person who plays Gaia is Tim cotter often called Timmer. he is a great role player but he also created the Server and is working with it constantly.

I just saw this on the newsgroup from Helpful GM:

"My understanding is that it's a quest and 100% completed, in and does not require GM interaction one bit.

(I got to help test it :)"

So know we just have to do it!

I think we should make this a priority, and everyone try at least some to figure out what they can.

-I sincerely doubt that it takes much time to do. I bet that, like the healer 'quest' (getting the 3 things), once you know it, it's easy.

-I'm thinking something like showing your humbleness by falling to a scavenger bird, then not speaking except at the temple to show that's where your thoughts are. Or something along those lines.

Talking to Ma'at Mag'ond might be a good idea, too...

Aerick, you expect us to fall to every creature there is in the lands and try it out? =)

Why not? We should most be well practiced at it! =P

I was just hypothesizing the kind of thing I thought. Not that precise system. But who knows....

I'm wondering if its a quest or a profesion. I recall someone remarking that they thought it may be a link to the Druid class. Mayhaps you need to be a newbie without occupation to join.

I can't really imagine it's something *big*. I mean if DT spent so much time into a new class, I'm pretty sure people would know this class by now. Afterall GMs etc are only humans (that was ooc :) and I think the info about that would have spread quite fast.

Most people can't keep big secrets for themselves for a long time.. Just look at all the mystics - it seems that every clanner except me has a female, cloaked mystic in the library. You can't tell me they all found these secrets by themselves. Welp, in fact you can tell me but I won't believe it. :)

I'd still be more than happy to solve one of the mysteries Nunul posted! (thanks a lot for your work, Nunul!)

I don't have a mystic in the library :)

Regarding new classes, Elenis says that he was told that one class is already available, but nobody's found it yet. I suspect anything new will be a subclass like bard, not a full profession. A profession would have to be more public.

Ah I guess I mixed "class" with "profession". :) I guess I'd be a terrible mystic if I can't even separate these 2 words clearly. =)

H-GM said several weeks ago (a month or two) that a fighter sub-class did exist, and implied that anyone could get it with no GM-intervention, but that they had no benefits or trainers or anything for it yet. At that time, he said (maybe implied, but I think it was made clear) that that was the only sub-class available. I recall him saying it was available for some time, but that no one had found it yet.

Maybe it's an Earth/Blood Mage. THAT"D be cool (even though magic is merely 'on the list')

And I don't have a mystic. =) But I know what you mean, Sargon. Also, though people can't keep secrets too well, I really think the GMs can (ie - mirrors), and that no one has found it yet.

I'd just like to get a few things straightened out.

First of all, being a Bard is NOT a subclass or a profession, it's a skill.

Second, it was Joe who talked about subclasses, and said the following:
1) There are a total of 5 planned subclasses
2) 3 will be for Fighter, 1 for each of the other classes.
3) It is possible to become *two* of the fighter subs right now.

HGM has hinted that earth/blood magic is possible/planned/in, but he was very vague.

And Sargon, what's your reasoning on "people would have discovered it by now"? *IF* it is something big, that's why people probably havent' discovered it yet. Who said big things were supposed to be easy? *cough* Mirrors *cough*

Glad to clear a few things up.

I started playing around with gretting in. So far ive discovered zilch (except that bowing/kneeling/blessing before the NPCs and begging them to let you in doesnt work <grins>)

one HGM is liar. if you email timmer@deltatao.com not very likely to get a response but he will most likely tell you that he has yet to create the quest for it
.
two The subclass that is around that no one has found has been in CL but not much for it sence i belive the 40s.

three bard is a profession! but more over its guild. and should be called such.

1: HGM does not lie. He may leave out information, but everything he says is true unless clearly marked as a joke. E-mailing him usually (for me) results in a straight answer.

2: There are *two* subclasses, both available, but neither with any trainers or abilities. Afton was seen wearing a green belt, so he may have found one of them. And the reason we haven't found them is that we're too preoccupied whining that we can't find them ;D

3: Bard is not a profession in the fighter/healer/mystic sense. Bards have no trainers and thus cannot be seen as such. It is a skill/craft/guild. The FMA [http://www.minstrelmuse.com] IS a profession. Sorta. Maybe.

About the fighter subclasses, I believe Ma Tota has something to do with that.. maybe? :)
