Barrels

I have found out earlier today that upon emptying out a keg, you can pick up the barrel.

With the barrel, you can take it to a body of water and fill it up. Then you have a barrel of water. I would like to, maybe after next meeting, for the clan to get a few kegs, empty them out <g>, and run around seeing what else we can fill them up, and possible uses for it.

Well, since no one else seems to want to spend our money, I'm game. We'll be getting the cheap crap, as we're really only interested in the barrel (I'm sure ;-), but a keg or two of stout should be fine.

The mushroom hut looks like it has a cave underwater. Perhaps we could use the barrells to bail enough to enter it? An unlikely idea, but it couldnt hurt to try.

After the last meeting, people were headed to ha'and to try filling up a barrel with lava.

I'm guessing this wouldn't work because I don't think carrying around lava in a barrel would work... but you never know... :)

So what happened? Did it work?


What about the stuff in the pot in trool town? Or the other pot I think Lai was talking about in the hut near the lily pond?

What have people tried and/or not tried that worked or didn't work?

I have discovered at least 1 use for the barrells - there is an official "beer trainer" in the east room of the brewery. a barrell of water is one of the ingredients necessary for brewing your own keg of beer/lager/ale etc.

for any would-be brewers, it takes a very small amount of ranks to be able to start brewing "stout" beer - around 10 ranks or so, give or take a couple.

the brewing area seems to appear and disappear - I am not sure if this is because the gods are still testing it, or if there is a trick to gain entry. But, it was there last night, and not this morning.

After much testing, research, and asking questions, I have finally figured out what the purpose of the barrel is for.

BEER!

I am almost certain that it has another use, but I don't think you should waste your time thinking on it, unless you have a spare barrel and are really bored. Cheers!

During today's OC raid, the Orgas displayed a new fire weapon that continues to burn exiles once they have been touched by the fire...they continue to burn even after they fall.

Could barrels of water be used either to extinguish a flaming exile or orga?
