Poll for clan meeting times

I've set up a scheduling poll to see if there is a time we can all make it, or at least determine the time the most of us can make a meeting.

When filling out this poll, keep in mind the following:

1) The times are *GMT* - you will need to convert YOUR local time to GMT to fill this out correctly. For example, I am almost never awake at 3AM, but 3AM GMT is 10pm CDT (the previous day).

2) Think of this as a generic week - the web application requires a specific week to be used, so I picked May12-18 - but ignore the month and dates, and only pay attention to the days of the week.

3) Check off the times when you could reasonably make meetings on a somewhat regular basis (we can discuss later if it will be once a week or once a month, just go by what you think is a reasonable frequency).

4) Check ALL the times you could make it without having to re-adjust your life, not just your 1st few choices. I've already checked off my possible times. The times I checked reflect when I could meet right now, but my schedule with likely change come this fall.

5) the poll scrolls very far to the right because I've covered ALL 168 hours in a week. Be sure to scroll all the way over in clicking the times.

My contribution won't help much in narrowing things down, since I'm self-employed as a writer my schedule is my own and I could take an hour out just about anytime I wanted.

However, I took the poll and at least left out times I'm almost certainly asleep, and my relatively few scheduled meetings.

It's not so much a poll asking which is "best" for you - It's a poll asking for ALL the times you might be able to make a meeting on a regular basis.

Of the 5 responses so far, there are two times that 4 of us can make it:

12:00am-1:00am GMT Thursday (that's Wednesday evening in North America) and the same time on Sunday (Saturday evening in NA).

However, Farhope has not yet responded, and that is something like 2am for her....

Just so everyone is clear, the time the most people say they can make it is:

5pm Pacific/ 6pm Mountain/ 7pm Central / 8pm Eastern, and if I have the zone right, 2am where Farhope lives.

Can everyone double check that they got the time conversion correct?

Well, that pretty much lets me out since all of those times are early hours of the morning for me. I cant speak for Farhope, but since she is on roughly the same time zone I wouldnt have thought they would be any better for her.

Since the one meeting when several people showed up, its either been just Farhope and myself, or only me. If those times are going to better for the majority who would like to resurrect WoD, then I say go for it!

The current time for WoD meetings (Sunday afternoon in my time zone) has never been ideal for me. I could make them sometimes if the clan gets back in business, although I haven't even been trying to show up for them lately, because it hasn't been.

It's all just died again. I have the clan scroll on my daily round of pages to check, but there's been no activity.

Hey WoD!

You are all welcome to come to the Open Hunt every Sunday at 11:30 AM Pacific (see here (http://timeanddate.com/worldclock/fixedtime.html?month=7&day=20&year=2008&hour=14&min=30&sec=0&p1=207) for other time zones). I think that's about half an hour earlier than your old clan hunt time. Look for me and J'jh in Town Center.

I know a little of what you're going through. OWE is also spread around the world, and the clan hunt time we had for years became less and less popular -- though no one had an alternative suggestion. For a few years, we alternated with PAG's Sunday hunt, but now that's also dead. Throughout it all, J'jh and I have consistently shown up and tried to do something interesting every week, often inviting more guests than we had Elephants. With the world population being so low, I recently decided to throw it open to anyone and everyone who wants to come. I like how it's been going so far.

If the planning for a new WoD meeting time doesn't go anywhere, maybe each of you could pick a time that you'll try to be on every week, and tell each other. Those with flexible schedules will be able to catch others' regular times. Maybe one or more times will emerge as the most convenient for the most people.

Thank you Torin for the invite. The open hunt fills a gap for many of us who are either clanless or whose clan is mostly inactive. Rios may pop along this weekend, if you could use a 4th circle goss-wielder. Ive heard from Terise duMiroir that your hunts are 'much fun' [;)]

I don't really play at all, but I've just quit WoW, so who knows what's going to happen. I have all this free time and I'll be damned if I want to spend any more of it cleaning or cooking.

Well if you do come back, look out for Rios. Therian is still around too, although our schedules never seem to coincide.
