Hi!

I've talked with Fundin yesterday and he showed some interest in our clan! He's in DM at the moment but considers switching clans because they're not very active anymore (ie almost no-one at meetings and hardly anyone out of the library, at least while he's clanning)

I gave him the address of our scrolls and invited him to visit our clan meeting next Saturday. I'm afraid I won't be able to attend it though. So if you see him in the lands, talk to him and invite him too, so he really shows up. *giggles* Farhope and Althus might get some problems though because Fundin is a dwarf and therefore likes to drink beer too. [:D]

Well, I just posted the process for Perrin....

But Perrin is a sylvan, so I went easy on him.

Fundin is....is....a....Dwarf.

I mean one in the clan is ok for token representation and all, but two?????

Well, I guess Dwarfs do know a lot about beer.....

Hmmmmm.....

Can he brew?

Gorvin's most definitely not in DM. He's currently in Lords of the Wamphyrii, and seems (to me) quite happy there. You may be thinking about another dorf :P

Hi

/action lowers his head and feels like 100 tomatoes!!!

Now after I took Lerris for Perrin the other day I mistook Fundin for Gorvin. I don't know what to say... I'm sorry, Fundin!!!!!

/ponder that happens when you clan too much.....

I shall remain silent for one zodiac. (yes that means you number hunters can catch up :)

/action looks at his shoes, still blushes and runs to the library.

Silly Sylvan! A whole zodiac, Sargon? Promise? :)
I think he just wants an excuse to hide out in the library with Sinan... :)

Is it possible to change the name of the thread from Gorvin to Fundin then?

As for Fundin, welcome to the Winds of Dawn!
I hope to see you at the next meeting and around Puddleby!

cya!

I fixed the thread so it refers to Fundin instead of Gorvin. Boy Sargon has me doing all sorts of manual changes today :) Lucky they're fairly easy to do.

phpMyAdmin rocks!

Lo all,

Yes, its true i am a little dishearted with the DM poor leadership is a problem at the moment but i wont go into too much internal stuff.

I am currently looking at possible clans that may accept a humble dorf :p and i know a few of u, (tater, farhope, heyboy, sargon and Kiriel D'Sol has got me of FI a good few times) and they seem nice so i presume the rest of you are ;)

I had a little chat with sargon and your clan seems far more active at hunts and doing things together which is what im after so thats good.

I am unsure if i can make either this Sat or next Sat hunts due to some OOC stuff but i will try to do so. What time are the hunts GMT? 10pm?

Fundin

PS I cant brew but dont hold it against me, im nearly a full PF now :)

PPS Geez Sargon i look nothin like Gorvin :p

Glad to see you're considering us Fundin. Sorry to hear about the difficulties with DM- I do hope things get better there soon. You're a nice dorf and I for one think you're a great candidate. Our big thing in the clan (in addition to being somewhat organized, and fairly cool folks) is helping out new exiles. Is this a goal that appeals to you?

If you'll look at the bottom of our events page, there's a handy dandy time zone option you can set so you can see the times in your local time zone. That should answer your question about the hunt times (they're actually more like clan meetings, but hunting is usually at the end of it). Also, any event with three or more clan members constitutes an official clan event, so if you see a bunch of us around, you might want to just see if we're all off hunting together- you'd be welcome to come. I'll try to keep an eye out and let you know if we're doing something you might want to participate in.

Sargon, no need to go hide. I mean, it's perfectly understandable. All those little dwarves look the same to me too.

So Gorv... er... Fundin, I'm not sure we can let you in if you don't brew, and we have full PF's comming out our ears[;)] .

I suppose we might be able to let you in, though, if you promise to learn how to brew[:D] .

I for one think we have a distinct shortage of dorfs in the clan! I would love to see Fundin join us. Now if we could only get a thoom! Hey Cori, what's up with you these days?

We need more of ... them? Isn't one enough!?

Hmmm..... Kiriel's post got me to thinking about the whole tokenism issue, and I realized we have several token memberships we need to fill:

1) we have no Thooms - so we need 2, male and female. Hmmm... what about Snow and Merlisk's kid? she's at least half sylvan, though we have not seen whether she favors her mom or dad yet. And Cori is ok, he speaks Sylvan.

2) We have no female humans.

3) assuming Pucker is gone, we have no male halflings.

4) We have no female dwarfs....

Now this last one is where Sleep... er.... Fundin could help us.

Fundin, would you mind having a sex-change operation?

You're all wrong. What this clan needs is more Sylvan healers. I always look around and say "What the? What this clan needs is more Sylvan healers!"

So I think that what this clan needs is more Sylvan healers. Who are full PFs.

Okies,

so whens the usual scheduled hunt time? Sargon mentioned Sat or Sun but looking at the events page it seems to be any time? Dont mind when just so i can try and be there for one :)

BTW i wont be leaving the DM shortly as its a hard decision to make with so many friends in it, but i will wait and see what happens in the next month or 2, but im happy everyone in the WOD has been so freindly to me and welcoming and i would have the WOD as top of my list when my decision is made.

I hope to meet u all soon :)

PS No way im learing brewing till i pass 3

The clan meeting currently rotates between four different times. The next four times are listed on the events page. So hopefully that makes more sense. 3 of the 4 meetings are on Sat and one is on Sun (US time that is).

That's a good question, Fundin. Currently, I'm collecting information about when people would like to hunt, where, etc. It's my goal to have multiple clan hunts, maybe as many as four a week, each with distinct objectives and requiring varying tactics and skill level.

We used to have a clan hunt after our meeting (pre-rotating schedule), but it seems a lot of times, some members only have time to stay for the meeting, so I think the best approach will be to have hunts seperated from them. I'm sure, if people are willing, there will most likely be a venture somewhere after meetings, but those hunts will depend completely on attendence and willingness (and how many members' feet haven't fallen asleep ;-).

Hopefully, by tomorrow or Friday, I'll be able to post some planned hunts for this weekend after I have a good idea of people's schedules and desired locations. Look for those on the Event's page, if you're interested.
