Did anyone ELSE know that there's a limit to how many Private Messages one can have?

Kiriel, about what is the quota? I'll try and keep mine down, but I only had about a hundred messages (counting sent and recieved). Alright, I suppose I can see that that's a fair bit.

I'm at 41 private messages right now I think. To get past the 100 limit, do you just delete some old ones so yiou always stay below the limit?

What if I was at 99 and I received like 3 messages? Do I only see the 1 and then the other 2 are returned to the sender saying mailbox full like with email?

I think it's a size limit, rather than an absolute number. I think I was closer to 150 messages, but I didn't want to get caught exaggerating.

Well, I stripped myself down to 2 messages, so I'm out of the running to test the "make kiriel's computer explode" theory. But otherwise, I'd be happy to help!

Wow, you guys actually use the private messages? I thought you'd just be using email. I've gotten I think 3 private messages ever, so I don't quite feel your pain, but I'll take a look and see what I can do later today when I'm bored at work.

Well, at first I never bothered with the private messages. OK, I didn't know they existed.

But especially since I jump around to different computers constantly, and have to Telnet into my email, and so can't just click on "send evil servant an email" (for example) the private messages became my email.

They're very handy.

Well, since you find them so handy, I've upped the char limit on private messages to 2000 (was 1000) and I upped the number you're allowed to save from 70 to 300. I think new messages can come in even if you are above the limit, but you can only keep so many saved. If one of you gets to the point where this becomes a problem, let me know and I'll up it again :)

Boy, that'll teach me to try and solve my own problems.

Now my archives are gone. Does the limit of 70 (now 300) count both sent and recieved messages? What is a 'saved' message? Just one in the Inbox?
