This thread is for collecting information about unknown uses for items which may or may not be common (wood, fishing poles...etc.).

I would love to find out if there is a use for fishing poles -- then I wouldn't feel guily 'bout spending 100c so I could relieve the boredom while hanging around the field hospital.

I've heard mention of a fishing trainer?

I'm hoping to discover if the hermit below kitty beach trains... Now if I can just wake him up...

For the hermit, mayhap a Bard could assist in awakening him? I heard of an Orga Drum being sold over SS, as well.

Herpetid eggs and Myrm eggs would be nice to find a use other than gifts to new exiles. =)

A good things (for Nunul?) would be to "catalog" "what" can be find "where".

About the herpeid egg, I have never tried but I think that, maybe, it "cure" the poisonning of the herpetid... just a guess

For a possible use of fishing poles, see my other comment in the request for investigations topic. I am nto sure if it works anymore though, but I did see someone do it once so I know it was active when the poles first came out.

Some clarifications from someone who knows way more than he should:

I refuse to believe that Fishing Poles are a RP item. I am hereby putting up a thread for them. I use my fishing pole constantly since a GM remarked "has fishing been tried EVERYWHERE you are able to?)

I hear you can give myrm eggs to an NPC, now, and have them make honey out of it.

Welcome to the board Rhys. Non-members are welcome to post here. Thanks for the info on the myrm egg- it sounds intriguing. You might want to check with the guy in the upstairs of the bakery- maybe he has an idea of what to do with it.

Sorry for a post from a non-member.
Just a note about myrm eggs. I recently
obtained a myrm egg that I couldn't give
away. When I found it, the message was:

Rhys finds an unusual myrm egg

I suspect I may need to keep it to await
a hatching. So the "on the list" may be
occuring. I'll keep you informed.

A hatching would be cool!
Little baby myrms wandering around...

Of course I'm sure everyone would just "gish" em :(

A few notes:

Kiri, the eggs the bakery guy wants aren't myrm or herpetid eggs. They're the eggs you get for turning in feathers in the grange. Feathers are obtainable (rarely) by killing scav birds.

The NPC that makes honey from [myrm] eggs for 10c is also in the grange.

I don't belive myrm eggs have any other purpose than making honey for baking and brewing, but I could be wrong. I've had one for an OOC year now.

I did kill a scav bird and there was a feather. I let someone us take the feather though. Of course I've since tried killing a number of birds and no feather :)

that should be "someone else"

I guess 7 in the morning is a little too early to be allowed near the forum :)

Ah-ha! Now you guys know how I feel about getting up at 6:30 am in order to try to attend the clan meetings (which will soon turn to 5:30 am when Daylight savings is over) *grin*.

Seriously, is there any way we can find another time to have the clan meetings that doesn't mean me being up at some ungodly hourin the morning?

Well, considering the only meeting I turned up for was the only one I attented :-)

I haven't been to any since I became a member...

Anyway, this isn't really the place for this discussion.
