As I lay here on Fire Island being chewed on by fire rats, I am beginning to think that we went too far into Fire island... :)

I think our first clan hunt was a hideous success!
And quite the memorable one also!

What better way to seal our bonds than to die with and for each other?
OK, I just realised that someone could make a serious argument for that train of thought, and that's kinda sketchy. Anyway, it's great fun. Yup

Well, I just finally got healed after over 2 and a half hours fallen! I had like 12 healers or something!
Well, it was definitely memorable! :)
A few nice chain rides through fire island too :)

I had a very good time with our first hunt.
I am now definitevely hooked with this "place not well known".
I hope that we will have the possibility to go there, together, more.
Now, I know several things: Fire Walker = run, 2 orga berzerkers are possible for us (for us all :-)...
I want to make a map... slowly :-)
One regret: Ender... we lost him really quickly and we were thinking he was on another island... sorry Ender
Thank you all for this hunt! I think we were:
- from the clan: Aerick, Corwin, Farhope, GrayGradi, Kiri, Konoko, Nunul
- near the clan (:-) Tater
- others: Azael, Lerris
- quickly lost: Ender
- rescue party: Cronos, Dude, J'jh
I hope I forget nobody.
And, sorry for my depart... I really had ooc priorities (as Corwin will remind us, it is only a game :-)

As much fun as we had at fire island, I suspect I will not be hunting there overly frequently. It is a very difficult place to navigate (so I can see why you like it Farhope :) That lava walker was very difficult- I don't think I even hit it once. Too bad we didn't get to play with the nice cougars :) I think maybe next time I will sign up for the chain tour of the island.
I put up some nice photos of the hunt on the clan scrolls and also a movie that Nunul made so everyone who wants to can watch (I got to see a few things I missed because I was fallen in a different area - who knew I was in the same snell as where we first ran into trouble? :)
Now I understand why fire island rescues always seem to drag on forever. I hope we will continue having some fun clan hunts. Any suggestions for next time?
BTW, there were many others that came to rescue towards the end. I remember at least Snark, Cinnamon, Jive, Bones, and I know there were several more I'm forgetting. Poor Konoko needed about 12 healers when it was all over and we eventually had to chain her to town (which is tricky in the ocean).

I've got a number of movies about my whole rescue. You can see the various chaining trips I was taken on and all the people who tried and eventually got me back on my feet...after approx 2 and a half hours!
I could organise these and stuff them for download.
Are people interested in seeing these?
Maybe if people are Kiriel can post them on the site...

I would love to see them- if you would like to post them I would be happy to post them on the clan page (and I'll take a few nice photos from them too)
Certainly it's nice to have such an exciting hunt be our first clan hunt :)

Ok!
I'll work on them tonight and email the URL to you tonight...
I tried to only record when something exciting was happening (ie somone walked by) :)
When you're fallen, pretty much anything is exciting! :)

Definitely a gloriously successful first hunt!
We ventured out, had some good fun together, roamed around, explored new territory, and capped it off with the brilliant elimination of 2 orga beserkers at once!!!
(Oh - we had a bit of a problem on the way home, but you can't expect a first clan hunt to be _completely_ perfect...)
I can't wait to do it all over again! And I agree, maybe not Fire Island next time -- we don't want to bore ourselves with the same thing over and over again...
Thank you all for the good time!

Yeah! That's a good way of looking at it!
After we killed the beserkers we were headed home.
Then the monsters were so upset that we killed the beserkers that all of the fire island inhabitants teamed up, separated us, and prevented us from going home...
That sounds much better than "we went to fire island for a few minutes and were wiped out by a bunch of monsters".
I think I'll remember it the way Gray suggests... :)

I LOVED, yes LOVED Fire Island!
At least once a month we should go back...slowly of course. I agree with Farhope about mapping it. As far as I can tell, it seems to be set up a bit like TangleWood. As a goal for the "discovery" part of the clan goals, a map of fire island would be invaluable to the other clans. I plan on watching the movie again, so as to get a rough map of how we got where we ended up. (especially the "zoo" which we could see, but not touch) I believe the Lava Walker was the zoo keeper.
I love this clan!

I've been working on my Web scroll. It has a number of vision stones and a few pictures. To see vision stones of the clan formation, the fire island hunt, me passing the 2nd circle fighter test, pushball games, and other stuff, feel free to visit my web scroll!
I don't have the vision stones from the meeting or hunt on October 8th up yet but it should be up in the next day or two. And maybe even later tonight...
My web scroll is at:

And then click the "Vision Stones" link near the top of the page...
