Greeting all!

Having wondered about Puddlyby and some of the surrounding isles for a year and a half now, I believe it is time for me to join with a clan and hopefully get a clue! (For those of you not familiar with me I tend to /yell Clanless and Clueless a lot). The clan I wish to join is your very own Winds of Dawn.
I recently spoke with Delirium who kindly instructed me in the new membership application process. I am not sure where to find a fatted calf, nor do I have (that I am aware of) a first-born, but I will try to address the four questions in this post.
1.Why do you want to join WoD?
The foremost reason is the clan memebers I have met, such as Delirium, who showed me around town when I first arrived and who has continued to be a good friend. There is also the sartorially splendid Mehan, a fellow charter member of the Sychronized Falling Squad. Kiriel D'Sol, who has lead several newbie hunts I participated in and was always helpful. Rincewind, who has located my mangled body more than once, and Maximillian and Nunul who I recently had the pleasure to hunt with in the Savannah. All have been helpful, polite, just all-around good people. I like the focus on helping newbies, benefitted from it a great deal myself, and believe it does a great service to all of Puddlyby.
2. How do you see yourself helping newbies?
I would try to show them around the places they could not safely go themselves. I can help them earn some coin, and explain some of the tactical lessons I have learned. I would point them to helpful scrolls so they can learn on their own, and for those who would rather learn from listening, I would answer the questions I am capable of answering, or direct them to people who would have the answers. The key thing is just to take some time and listen and then direct them as best I can. Above all, make it fun! Puddlyby is a weird and dangerous place, and a good sense of humor is as important to survival as swift feet, a strong arm and friendly healers!
3. What are your favorite activities while out of the library?
Hunting, improving my skills, seeing new places, creatures and things, and increasing my net worth. Listening to the bards. Going on rescues. Baiting members of the Loyalists.
4. What are the things you least like to do?
Sitting in town listening to snerts. Sitting in town waiting for something to happen with no one to talk to. Sitting in town listening to strange gibberish about things called macs, movies, ISP'S and the like. Just sitting. I like to be active. :-)
(Delirium: did I get the questions right? I lost my notes and these are the questions as best I remember them)

I suppose you got the questions close enough.....

But.....

I said nothing about firstborn or a fatted calf! I mean really! Why should I be interested in your firstborn? You are not even a halfling!

/ponders did I remember to tell him to bring a halfling for the FI hunt on Sunday?

See, this is what happens when I don't have my notes!
aa rifles through nonexistent pockets for missing papers
That must have been some other membership coordinator[:D]

And I do not remeber anything about "BYOH" for FI.

By the way, my post should have read "........wandered about Puddleby......", but what the heck, wondered works too!

You seem like a gentleman that I would gladly roam the lands with. I shall be sure to say hello to you when I see you in the lands.

Welcome to the WoD forums and for introducing yourself. [:)]

I am pleased that you want to come in our clan.
Nice answers to the questions (it shows that it was a good idea from Delirium! :-)
