Hmm, Hello everyone ! /action looks embarassed by all the attention/
I would like to join clan WoD and so I come to this forum so that you may know me a little more.
My name is Drablak, and I have been in these lands for a little more than a year and a half now. I have been exiled because I studied and taught Natural Philosophy, and this was perceived as a threat by the authorities. I had published some of my theories on Natural Philosophy, but of course all the copies in circulation and my personal notes were confiscated and burned. No matter, they remain within me and I will put them down to paper again eventually. It will even be a better treatise since I have observed a lot of phenomenons of great interest since coming here. Right now I am concentrating on learning and discovering. And observing...
"I am made of light; I am made of stars."
This statement may seem presumptuous but it is only intended as a statement of my sense of self and one of my deepest belief. I am made of stars because I believe that the matter that we are composed of is 'created' (transformed would be a better term) within the stars themselves. So each of us is made of stars. And both the Earth we walk upon, and the Moon that shines in our night sky are made of stars.
I am made of light, because my being resonates with our closest star, the Sun, and where its light shines, there my path lies. In its light, the stars within me come alive.

Why do I want to join WoD?
Many reasons, really. I have thought long about which clan I would apply to for membership. I was in a clan for a time and I did not find what I was looking for. So I really took my time to consider my options and what I look for in a clan. The first thing I look for is to be part of a group of people with a common interest, a sense of community. I look for people who like to have fun while doing what they do. I look for people who are open minded and like to share with others. I look for people who like to do all sorts of things. People who are curious and caring. I have been in many hunts, explorations and tours with members of WoD, and talked privately to some of them. And I have observed. And I find all of these things I look for in a clan in WoD. I want to join because I like the people and the spirit of the clan. And I also want to join because I think I can contribute.
How do I see myself helping newbies?
Well I was a teacher /action smiles briefly/, so I like to show the land to people. I have often helped new exiles (and some not so new) by showing them some of the landmarks, explaining how places are called, where are the safe areas, etc. I like to do these things and have done them in the past. Those who know me well enough have experianced my "teacher mode", and I like to think that they appreciate it. As an apprentice mystic I can also help on newby hunts by boosting when it can help someone tag or stay up. I can explain the basics of how to hunts, and so on. I think I can make a difference.
What are my favorite activities while out of the lib?
Well, being with other people and having fun. That is, being with other people and having fun on hunts, on explorations, on rescues, on tours, or just in town or in safe area to chat. I like to do all sorts of things. Because of my profession, sometimes I need to do things alone, but I prefer to have company. I like to try new things, see new places, or go somewhere just to be able to say you've been there, or experienced it. I am very curious which sometimes gets me in trouble (for exemple I can say I saw the bottom of the well in east forest , you know, the one with the sign beside it saying "dangerous stay away" /action smiles broadly/.)
What are the things I like least to do?
Being alone not knowing what to do is something I don't like. I usually pick a direction and go that way when that happens ("hey I heard there was an old cemetary *that* way..."). I don't like being with people who don't care for others and only think of themselves. I don't like conflicts between people. I don't like competitions. That's about it I think /ponder well I prefer to think about things I like anyway/.
