Hello my windy, gusty, blustery and just plain breezey friends! I am here to ask you all to consider me for membership to your clan!

1) Why do I want to join the Winds of Dawn?

I find the goals and values of your clan refreshing. And, the attitudes and personalities of your members endearing. Some of my newest and nicest friends are among your ranks.

2) In what ways do you enjoy helping newbies?

Let me start by saying, I don't like it when young exiles are treated as if they are less valuable members of the Puddleby community simply because their skills aren't as well developed as they someday will be.

To actually answer the question, I like to help new exiles anywhere I can. I don't necessarily go out of my way to seek out new exiles to help, I try to help anyone I can. Although, being an undiscriminating rescuer has certainly led me to the rescue of my fair-share of new exiles. I also enjoy helping new exiles on hunts in areas where my services are useful.

3) What do you enjoy doing when you are out of the library?

My favorite things to do have more to do with my favorite people than my favorite activities. Friends are the most important part of Puddlyby. Specifically? I like tagging along with Slyph on rescues; hanging around town with Malkor and heckling the people being silly there; gossiping with the girls in town; comparing dying strategies in the dye shop; and more recently tagging along with Lerris and Kiriel and other Windies on their tour-style hunts. :)

4) What do you not enjoy doing?

Hmm... trying to make Malkor be nice? No, wait, never mind I enjoy that ;)

Oh! I don't enjoy falling, unless I have someone to chat with while I wait for a rescue. Then it can be a nice break from being busy or what not. :)

I hope to see you all soon in the lands and to meet those of you who I haven't had the pleasure of being acquainted with. Be well and airy and stuff! :)

Yours, Lady Cassandra Spriggin, A Healer of Puddleby

Hmmm, well. I am not a member of WoD so maybe this doesn't count but I'd like to say this anyway. I do not know Cassandra very well (I hope that will change in the future) but I went on a hunt in savanah with her and she was loads of fun. I like her spirit and her sense of humor and I'll hunt with her again if I have the chance. I hope she is accepted in WoD.

I do have two questions.

1) I noticed before that you were a member of the Moon clan that Slyph started. Why did you leave?

2) Did Malkor get the ring back that he auctioned off?

Okay, the second really doesn't have to do with your application, but I'm curious and this seemed like a good place to ask it. [:o]

Unfortunately, when I joined The Moon I was unaware of a couple of the restrictive aspects of membership. Even though I love Slyph to death and repect her ideas about healing and the moon goddess, I felt the sacrifices necessary to follow the path were too great. In short, ya hafta wear blue. alla time. Every day! I am a slave to fashion.... I left the clan, and thought long and hard about weather or not I could give up looking good in pink... I realized there was another reason The Moon was... is probably a bad fit for me... The Moon will most definitely be a slow growing clan. Part of my desire to join a clan is to make new friends and to join a *group* of exiles.

As for Malkor, he did not get his wedding ring back. Although my feelings were hurt that he sold the ring, we discussed it and I feel his reasons for doing so are more or less valid and I've decided to accept them. What can I say... love isn't always a bed of roses. ;)

Thanks for your interest :)

I saw Slyph's Koppi message and checked out her site. I can understand now why the requirements would be stifling to some. You are encouraged to train in Spiritus, Respia, and Higgrus and discouraged from training in Faustus. Maybe Slyph feels that this is the purest way of healing but I can understand how some would not like being told exactly how to train or be. I can definitely relate to that!

And your desire of joining a clan was exactly my desire.

Maybe it is! Just when you think you have all the thorns covered up by roses and you can lie back and take a snooze, a pesky thorn sticks up and pricks you in a tender area. [:p] I am glad that everything had a happy ending.
