Ok, I give. Kiri, what are those little check marks next to the read/unread post button that are sometimes highlighted, sometimes not? I can't see the correlation between that and anything else.

Ah, sneaky. I figured it out! (by looking in the HTML source)

It means that the user is online. That could probably stand to be a bit more clear.

They seem like they have something to do with posts being new, but if they do, I haven't figured out how they work yet.

If a post is very new, the user is still probably online. (or counted as online)

Interesting, I didn't see Althus's 1st reply when I posted mine (note same time stamps). Maybe I missed it, though. But yes, I was just looking back here because I had come to the conclusion that the marks mean someone is on.
