Diggin?

So I was wandering through the most expensive library on my way to the cheaper one when I saw the pathfinder sparks. Now, I have been training with the Marsh Hermit for a while and I used to be second circle (before the "rocks shifted"). So I was little surprised when I saw this path. I went through it and found an underground path. Right there at the entrance was, I assume a trainer, Diggin. I spoke with him and he told me that there was nothing he could teach me. Now, I have never trained with Diggin before, and I was just curious what he trained and why I can't train with him.

He's a low level Pathfinder Trainer.

Only trains up to either 5 or 10 ranks of PF.

Diggin is a PF teacher, like Marsh Hermit. As far as I know he only teaches like 5 or 10 ranks, so if you're past that... he does you no good.

Seems like he's there to give people minimal rank of PF needed to do in-town paths... the Underground and the like. Ironic of course that for a non-PF you have to go a long way around to get to him (via the Healer's Temple), and not the path to the library he's standing right next to.

Here's an idea - we start quoting totally incorrect info and give percentages, etc that are totally wrong.
We'll drive Althus so crazy with the wrong info that he'll be posting in no time to correct us... :)

Well that would explain why I can't train with him. I have around 20 ranks with the Marsh Hermit.

Althus will tell you Diggin only teaches 5 ranks of PF.

FYI, regarding the marsh, absolutely no pathfinding is required to navigate the north marsh, which is where the hermit lives. Pathfinding is only useful for the south marsh. All you need for the north marsh is some idea of where you're going. The marsh hermit can be reached by going S from E field, then E in the NE corner.
