oh my pocket dictonary is perhaps wrong: I see "funny money" = "des sommes mirobolantes, des sommes astronomiques" (and I translate this as "large amounts of money, very very large amount of money")... If my dictonary is right, I don't see why we will reject this :-)

Funny Money refers to forged, or counterfeit money. And you know, if the bank accepts it, so does the Treasury. ;-)
